Remember when we needed 3-paragraph system prompts with "you are an expert" disclaimers? Those days are fading fast.
Modern models (GPT-5, Claude 4, DeepSeek-v4) are instruction-following enough that most prompt engineering now boils down to two things:
A before/after from our production logs at AIWave:
Before (2025-style):
After (what actually works now):
The results? 40% fewer output tokens, zero hallucinated fields, and 30% lower cost.
What's interesting is that chain-of-thought is now a model parameter, not a prompt hack. You toggle it server-side at AIWave.
Are you still writing long system prompts? Or have you switched to the lean approach? Curious how others are adapting. 🧠
