By not letting the extension run in Incognito mode (Chrome default). You do this from "Manage Extension" -> "Allow in Incognito". |

By default, the browser extension won't run in incognito, but AW will still track the window title even without the browser extension, which could collect sensitive data -- but that's intended behaviour. If you're still concerned about it, you could right click on the tray icon and turn off aw-watcher-window, then turn it back on when you're done browsing, but the downside is that you might forget to turn it back on and lose data. You could delete or redact the data from the database, I'm not sure how easy it is to use the redact-sensitive script as I've never used it, but I imagine it's a bit of work. |
