I'm also trying to work this out. Wheres the overlap between copilot instructions and constitution.md. Could / should they mirror each other? Do they have different purposes? |

I have moved away from the copilot instructions as I have used spec kit more. I like the way spec kit creates a "memory" directory under specify and then create sub dirs based on the type of "memory" I ask the agent to remember. It also seems to know when to update the constitution and the specify generated memories. I am still experimenting with it but I had tried to create my own memories using the copilot instructions and it was much harder to manage! |

I have been using Copilot Instructions to make sure certain restrictions and instructions for the AI are always followed, I have been working on creating a Copilot Instructions that can be shared between projects so the limitations are always in place. Should that set of instructions be part of the constitution and/or part of the .github\prompts\constitution.prompt.md?
