Extension disabled by Brave browser due to Manifest V2 deprecation (v1.27.3) #527
Description
Hi,
I am using ClearURLs version 1.27.3 on the Brave browser. The extension has just been automatically disabled by the browser with the following message: "Cette extension a été désactivée, car elle n'est plus compatible" (This extension has been disabled because it is no longer compatible).
This is due to Chromium's final deprecation of Manifest V2. I tried to bypass it using the brave://flags/#brave-extensions-manifest-v2 flag, but Brave is now completely ignoring it and strictly blocking the extension.
Environment
- ClearURLs version: 1.27.3
- Browser: Brave Browser
- OS: Windows 11

Hi @LoannMKW - I saw Brave disabled the extension due to MV2 deprecation (v1.27.3). I fix MV2 -> MV3 migrations in 48h including declarativeNetRequest replacement. I can get ClearURLs back on Brave/Chrome Store in 24h with a private build today if you need it. $250 flat. Want me to send a Loom with the fixed build?
