Trees generated by the mod cannot be rendered correctly by Voxy, and there will be gaps between tree trunks. #1154
Describe the bug:
Trees generated by Dynamic Trees cannot be rendered correctly with Voxy. There are visible gaps between the tree trunk segments.
To Reproduce
Install Dynamic Trees and Voxy.
Generate or place trees in the world.
Observe the tree trunks; gaps appear between trunk segments during rendering.
Rendering GlitchesI am using Iris and Sodium.
Additional contextThe tree models themselves appear normal, but trunk rendering breaks when Voxy is enabled, resulting in obvious gaps between trunk parts.
CrashesNo crashes occur.
Mods List
Minecraft: 1.21.1
Neoforge: 21.1.220
Dynamic Trees: 1.7.0
Voxy: 0.2.13
The issue OP is having happens to me as well. And yes, don't know about OP but personally I'm using a back port fork of voxy to 1.21.1. Back ported myself with intellij, also tried some public forks - same behavior.
I saw a message from one of dynamic trees devs on discord:
"I think the issue is that voxy uses the actual block shapes, and they do not cache the special dynamic trees shapes. DH just renders as a solid block so it doesnt matter"
Which sounds like it does make sense, since some create blocks suffer the same issue with voxy, tho obviously it's way less noticeable.
Not even sure how this one could be un-screwed, cuz it's either voxy introducing some kinda different system to render custom shapes and stuff, OR dynamic trees implementing some kinda system that voxy can digest and understand...
Either way for now my solution is to squint my eyes so I don't see floating tree trunk cubes everywhere 😂
Edit: I'll attach screenshots of how it looks once I'm back home
Yeah that's what I've been thinking. Grok suggested trying to implement some sorta function in that voxy fork that basically says "yo, when you see a branch for dynamic trees? Yeah just replace that with vanilla wood", guess imma try to diy it in intellij lmao.

I might be getting something wrong but is Voxy even on 1.21.1? The nearest version I can find is 1.21.11.
Please provide more info

Ight, got to it finally.
Voxy backport fork and dynamic trees together.
First pic is withink render distance. Second - voxy lods.
Just for context

Unfortunately until Voxy adds a way for mods to override the LOD shape of blocks there isn't much we could do on our side.

But yeah, thanks for answering!
