Server crashes during startup with Dynamic Trees SoilProperties NullPointerException (Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge) #1236
Tried multiple Dynamic Trees versions, including 1.4.11, 1.4.10, 1.4.7 and 1.4.4.
Removed the Dynamic Trees–Terralith add-on.
Removed Terralith.
Removed Mystics Biomes.
Removed Nature's Spirit and Nature's Delight together.
Reinstalled and retested the Dynamic Trees–Terralith add-on.
The crash persisted through these tests. Removing Dynamic Trees itself allows the server to start, but I need the mod because my world contains existing builds and modded trees that I want to preserve.
Could you help identify what is registering a soil property with a null block, and suggest a fix that lets me keep Dynamic Trees and preserve my existing world?
Backdate to Forge 47.4.26. We made a small change in .27 to registries that appears to have affected DynamicTrees. Why exactly it's breaking DT is puzzling me as it was supposed to be non-breaking, but backdating is the solution for now.
Thanks!
Aternos only offers me Forge 1.20.1 versions 47.4.27 and 47.4.10. Is there a way to install 47.4.26 on Aternos, or should I use 47.4.10 instead?
47.4.10 is also fine (assuming you don't have any mods that require some version in between, but that's pretty unlikely), though that's pretty dumb by Aternos to restrict what you can install like that.
