Retire Lavish for this fleet: captain preference, crew-dispatch wording, dead procevent source #8

Open

Description

@NewAiCoder

Owner ruling 2026-09-06: Lavish (lavish-axi) is retired across the fleet. The owner's harness no longer references it, the systemd units are gone on the laptop and the server host, and the package is uninstalled on both. The ~/.lavish-axi state directories were kept.

Firstmate still carries the upstream Lavish integration (kunchenguid/firstmate: bin/fm-procevent-lavish.sh, bin/fm-bearings-board.sh, the /bearings lavish mode, tools: lavish in briefs, config/crew-dispatch.json line 14, AGENTS.md lines 200/401/503). It is optional upstream: fm-bootstrap.sh only flags lavish-axi when it is installed but too old, so bootstrap stays green with it absent.

What this fork needs, without diverging from upstream code:

  1. data/captain.md (home-domain captain preferences, inspect-then-update): add the ruling. Never use lavish-axi; a report, decision page or board for the captain is a plain static HTML file at a the workstation-reachable http URL, the the server host report directory http://the server host:47821/reports/<slug>/ (file at /mnt/data/firstmate/data/reports/<slug>/index.html) or a project's standing static server. Never suggest reinstalling it.
  2. config/crew-dispatch.json line 14: reword the mockup-round dispatch when so it does not name Lavish as the review surface.
  3. Any live procevent source of kind lavish (the the laptop poll on data/status-2026-09-05-evening/index.html died with the server): retire it (fm-procevent-lavish.sh retire) so the runner stops waking on it.
  4. Do not invoke /bearings lavish or put lavish on a brief's tools: line. Leave the upstream scripts and tests in place; a fork-local deletion would conflict on every upstream pull.

Optional, upstream: a feature request to kunchenguid/firstmate to make the captain review surface pluggable (a static-directory adapter beside the Lavish one). Not required for the fleet.
