This has been reported before. It happens because in Flake8 2.x pycodestyle is the only thing that raises E901. Further, it only raises E901 when it cannot
ast.compilea file which it only tries to do when AST checks are being run, e.g.,Fchecks. This is why you see nothing.We can't fix this in Flake8 and pycodestyle likely doesn't want to fix it. The good news is that this is plausible with Flake8 3.0 and should just work there.
