   • Implement useSDKEvents hook for event stream integration #11771: Implement useSDKEvents hook for event stream integration (OPEN) - This is actively being worked on to expose SDK events through the server/SDK interface

   The #2101 issue was closed after implementation (UI progress notifications), but your request appears to be specifically about exposing the MCP progress events through the SDK/server APIs for programmatic access, which is what #11771 is addressing as part of the TUI rewrite effort.
