[FEATURE]: Create a package manager for skills, plugins, commands, #12309

Description

@teolaz

Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

One of the most helpful thing a package manager definition file could do, either speaking about npm's package.json, python's pipfile, php's composer json, is to save you years of research into a single file.

You encountered a difficult process into a php 3 years ago? you have a composer.json telling you which libraries helped you solve this, if you want you can reinstall the same libraries with a simple single command.

I know technology is running fast, but I believe having fragmented folders isn't the top if you want to version you environment (.opencode/skills, .agents/skills, ~/.config/opencode, ~/.opencode).
It seems to me right now MD files are literally everywhere!
Also if I want to repropose my complete environment into another computer, i need to open each folder and try to understand which skills and agents and commands and etc ... have been installed.

Wouldn't be better to have a opencode package manager that could install all specs from a single .json file and place files where they need to be?

    @bayov

    This is something I feel is missing.

    For example, with gemini-cli it's possible for extensions to provide commands, skills, MCP, etc.

    There should be a way (without JavaScript/TypeScript) to define a plugin for opencode that provides simple .md files such as AGENTS.md, commands, skills, etc.
