I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.
Describe the enhancement you want to request

Goals for enabling/disabling tools on the fly:

This issue might be a duplicate of or closely related to existing issues. Please check:
[FEATURE]: specify --tools on command-line for enabling/disabling tools— similar goal of enabling/disabling specific tools at runtime, though focused on the CLI flag approach[FEATURE]: Filter which tools are loaded from MCP servers (includeTools/excludeTools)— overlapping goal of controlling which MCP tools are active, via static config[FEATURE]: Add @ mention syntax for one-time MCP server activation in chat— related runtime approach for enabling MCP servers on-demand during a sessionIt may be worth reviewing and potentially consolidating with those issues.

Would be great to have that also just to be able to check which tools are currently available
