Description

Qwen3.5 is multimodal and supports PDFs natively.

Despite this, adding "pdf" as an input modality in this model's opencode.json config entry breaks Opencode altogether, yielding AI_UnsupportedFunctionalityError: 'file part media type application/pdf' functionality not supported.

I have a custom pdf-ocr tool that I want to deprecate, so I asked Qwen3.5 to read a PDF file without that custom tool and it couldn't. Then I added the "pdf" modality and restarted Opencode, continuing the previous session:
