Drag-dropped images lose absolute file path, preventing tools from accessing them #17488
When an image is drag-dropped or pasted as a file path into the TUI, the absolute file path is not preserved. The source.path field ends up containing just the filename instead of the full path.
Plugins
oh-my-opencode
OpenCode version
1.2.26
Steps to reproduce
Run bun dev
Drag an image file into the terminal (or paste a file path)
Observe that source.path only contains the filename, not the absolute path
I'm experiencing the same issue on opencode v1.3.0 (macOS, Terminal). When I paste a full file path like /Users/yulaiz/Desktop/Xnip2026-03-23_11-30-23.jpg, it gets automatically converted to an image upload with only the filename preserved, losing the absolute path. This makes it impossible for tools to access the file. Please prioritize fixing this bug.

Yes, I have the same issue. I don't get why they did it this way.
