vscode extension doesnt support multi-line input with shift + enter in opencode window / tab #1941

hitting shift+enter doesnt allow you to enter a new line, it sends the message instead. happens whether you choose open opencode or open opencode in new tab (as an aside, i cant tell the difference bw these, they both open in a tab on the side)

the alt shortcut ctrl+j still works.

i dont have any custom vscode shortcuts for shift+enter. i did try removing these terminal-related ones but it didnt help:

keybindings.json

  {
    "key": "shift+enter",
    "command": "-workbench.action.terminal.sendSequence",
    "when": "terminalFocus && terminalShellIntegrationEnabled && !accessibilityModeEnabled && terminalShellType == 'pwsh'"
  },
  {
    "key": "shift+enter",
    "command": "-workbench.action.terminal.findNext",
    "when": "terminalFindInputFocused && terminalHasBeenCreated || terminalFindInputFocused && terminalProcessSupported"
  }
