A way to disable .gitignore-based filtering to the list tool #2517

Closed

Description

@vldF

opencode — a great tool to create LLM-based workflows with its API. Because of security, opencode is only allowed to work with files in some project. However, sometimes in workflows we need to send to its context some additional data via files. The best possible approach is to put them in the project's directory. As far as files from .gitignore are ignored, we can't add our generated files to gitignore but it lets us to a lot of files miscommited to the repository and other situations

Can we add some environment variable or CLI flag to disable this behaviour?

    opencode uses ripgrep under the hood so by default it respects .gitignore, you can create a .ignore file and explicitly allow certain paths if you'd like, example:

    cat .ignore
    !node_modules/

    In this example i am allowing node_modules to be searchable by ripgrep
