OpenCode v0.7.6 infected by a virus - directly downloaded from github #2564

Closed

Description

@duytrung

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if the blocking of download was due to a false positive detection?

I have tried with different computers, but the Bitdefender did not detect, while windows security detected.

What mechanism caused this?

Thanks for your consideration

    Our windows support isnt great, what happens if you do:

    choco install opencode

    instead?

    This flags as an issue on my machine too. I'm not sure why installing through choco would give a different result - is it not just the same package?

    Yeah chocolatey packages the windows binary from the release assets. versions 0.7.4 - 0.7.8 are still waiting for the automated virus scanning results.

    As of OpenCode v1.3.4 across the CLI + Desktop apps, we have full code signing - so there should be no more warnings.

    Please let me know otherwise
