I am not the only one, and it will keep happening as it seems you have developed some kind of scammy UI behavior.
You click to pay the GO subscription and get sent to ZEN...
I was trying to understand which one was the "good" button to just fucking pay 22€ for nothing!!
I didn't come here to pay for fucking claude code, and it even says:
"
Add $20 Pay as you go balance
(+$1.23 card processing fee)
Use with any agent. Set monthly spend limits. Cancel any time."
CANCEL ANYTIME?!?! WHERE?!
THE QUESTION IS, ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS?
ARE YOU GOING TO REFUND OUR MONEY?
WHERE? WHEN?
I think you may have misunderstood how it works. (to your point, this isn't clearly explained)
This is how it appears to work - you put money in on the Zen side for credits. You track that on the Zen side because they haven't integrated this into the Go side. (yet?). However you can continue to use the Opencode Go models at the go-rates after you've exhausted your $60/mth allotment (for me this was about mid-month). Then you start using the credits on the Zen side. But doing so you also now have access to the Zen models - so be careful! Providers other than opencode-go can be a lot more expensive and burn those credits very fast.
I was confused by this as well and wound up figuring it out after watching my usage. All in all I'm still paying less than I was for a Max subscription at Anthropic - and honestly, getting better results with a bunch of different models and a solid workflow. $10/mth + about $40/mth to cover my overage and I'm good. YMMV.
TBH, at this point, I don't care if I don't get the 22€ back, I care, but not so much, but I was feeling dumb and I probably deserve that to an extent, but then I found out in a google search that I am not the only one. So it would be cool if this UI behavior is improved.
And thank you for your comment, it is really appreciated. I agree that opencode has built a nice ecosystem which is quite cheap as of now with great quality.
I think the issue here is - its not very clear how this works based on how it's worded today. Probably needs a FAQ or something that lays things out and tells people how to monitor credit usage, beware of other providers and how to be aware of the costs you're about to get into. It's real easy to put $50 in and burn through it quickly by choosing the wrong model. You could be wanting to continue in DeepSeek v4 Pro - but choose a higher cost provider w/o realizing it.
I never make a mistake on payments, the UI is literally taking you to the wrong place. Absolute scam. I checked online and it indeed happened to other people. i even opened an independent issue because i was so mad to read but apparently its been noticed here to.

What costs? We were taken to ZEN page when the UI button we clicked was headed as GO. We paid for a subscription ALLEGEDLY and got an api key for ZEN. Its happened to a huge lot of people and if they dont do anything about it by now its absolutely deliberate behaviour.
I chose a model at a random thinking it was part of the subscription, and it took ONE session to consume 20€.
Same thing just happened to me right now. I literally opened the opencode website because I didn't want to give another provider another $20.
Guess what I just did? give opencode $20 for stupid zen plan, when I only wanted Go

can u email help@anoma.ly from ur console email, and let me know here
Just for the record, this post was purely an attempt to give the feel that support is attended, but NOBODY answers support ever. Im on the fourth request and no one is responding anything.
Im not publishing here my email, why dont you answer support email directly? Dont you check the inbox?
This is very confusing. I have sent 3 support requests over email and none have been answered.
can everyone send us another email to help@anoma.ly?
we moved to a new support system. turn around time will be much faster.
The response is crazy considering the facts.
I told them i only found out i had been issued a ZEN api key instead of a GO api key (what i had supposedly signed up for) right after i got a quota limit, how on earth am i going to test the subscription otherwise? Oh well, it was NOT subscription, i was charged for ZEN credits.
And now they tell me because of that i cant get the refund. Its INSANE
You guys are literal scammers. We pay for a subscription and get weird credits without consent. You made me think i was getting a subscription and gave me a key for a credit service.
You wont walk away that easy from stealing money from people.
Hi,
Thanks for explaining. I understand that you believe you were using OpenCode Go, but the OpenCode Zen balance was used, so we're unable to issue a refund for that purchase.
Your OpenCode Go subscription is separate and remains active.
Best,
Anomaly Support
As a happy Go subscriber, I don't know about what the confusing UX of paying for Zen vs subscribing to Go was, but I'd like to clarify that there's no separate API key for Zen vs Go. Your API key works for both Zen and Go; whatever gets used (if you have the respective balance / subscription activated) depends on whether you selected OpenCode Zen or OpenCode Go in the UI of the OpenCode application itself – you don't configure it per-API-key in the opencode.ai web. And if the toggle Use your available balance after reaching the usage limits is on, your OpenCode Zen balance (if you have one in addition to your OpenCode Go subscription) can be used even if you configured OpenCode Go, but only when you have reached the OpenCode Go usage limits.
Just wanted to clarify this because you mentioned Go vs Zen API keys, so I wanted to clear up the confusion.

Then the situation is WORSE. We pay for one thing and INDEED use that key thinking we got a subscription when what they actually charged was credits. Then you go to use it as if it was the subscription and by the time you find out credits are GONE and they refuse to do anything about it.
This time of funneling is ilegal and they clearly stated they do it intentionally otherwise they would have make up for it instead of just saying "Credits were already used". Well OF COURSE, i had applied allegedly for a subscription so i used it, but only then found out they tricked me.

FYI this is configurable on the opencode Go web site. There's an option to continue with Zen credits or not.
