Web UI displays wrong version (1.15.9) after upgrading to 1.15.10 #29301
After upgrading opencode from 1.15.9 to 1.15.10, the CLI correctly reports version 1.15.10, but the web UI settings panel (bottom-left corner) still shows 1.15.9.
Steps to reproduce
Run opencode --version → shows 1.15.10 ✅
Run opencode web and open the web UI
Click the settings icon in the bottom-left of the menu
Check the version displayed in the settings popup bottom-left → shows 1.15.9 ❌
Expected behavior
Web UI should display 1.15.10 to match the CLI version.
Additional info
Server startup log correctly logs version=1.15.10
The version string appears to be hardcoded separately in the embedded web UI assets
This is a cosmetic issue only; no functional impact
Title: Webui shows lower version than what it should. for example 1.18.18 is displayed as 1.18.17.
Description:
Title:
WebUI displays incorrect version number (one lower than actual version / CLI)
Description:
There appears to be a small bug in how the WebUI calculates or displays the version number. It seems the WebUI always displays the last digit as -1 compared to the actual installed version.
Steps to reproduce / Example:
Install OpenCode version 1.18.18.
Check the version using the CLI: It correctly displays 1.18.18.
Open the WebUI and check the version there: It incorrectly displays 1.18.17.
Expected behavior:
The WebUI should mirror the correct version number as shown by the CLI (e.g., 1.18.18 instead of 1.18.17).
Steps to reproduce:
install opencode
or do upgrade 'opencode upgrade'
you will see the version of opencode instaled.
start up the cli/tui by typing 'opencode' and see in bottom right that it shows the correct version.
start up the webui by typing 'opencode serve --hostname 0.0.0.0 --port 8088' (example, you can fill in other ip or port).
then in your webbrowser go to the opencode server, click on the top left 'home' button so that it shows the list of conversations, settings etc.
click on settings
in the bottom left you'll see the version number where the last number is 1 too low.
