When writing or editing files larger than ~6KB, both the write and edit tools silently abort with just Tool execution aborted — repeatedly, with no explanation.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Ask the agent to write a file with content >~6KB (e.g. a large component, config, or HTML file)
2. Observe the agent retrying endlessly:
   ~ Preparing write...
   Tool execution aborted
   ~ Preparing write...
   Tool execution aborted
   ~ Preparing write...
   Tool execution aborted

Expected Behavior

• A clear error message explaining the size limit
• OR: automatic chunking / skeleton-first strategy
• OR: a higher limit

Actual Behavior

• Silent abort, no error message, no hint what went wrong
• The agent has no way to detect the failure reason and keeps retrying
• Results in wasted tokens, wasted time, and a frustrating UX

Workaround (manual)

Write a small skeleton first (~1–2KB), then iteratively fill it with edit calls of ~3–4KB each — but this has to be done manually or via custom agent instructions.
