   This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

   • Desktop renderer fatally crashes (404 NotFoundError) when lastProjectSession references a session missing from opencode.db #32473: Desktop renderer crashes (404 NotFoundError) when a session reference goes stale — same error message, same stack trace pattern, same version 1.17.7. Your case (deleted session remaining in sidebar) appears to be the same underlying bug where the UI holds a stale session reference and the renderer doesn't handle the 404 gracefully.
   • Session not found: ses_xxxxxx #12002: "Session not found" after force-quitting — different root cause but same error surface.

   If your issue is specifically about the deleted session persisting in the sidebar UI (rather than on app launch), it may be worth noting that distinction in a comment on #32473.
