DeepSeek return tool calls data is DSML style (like XML) rather than JSON - this began today afternoon eastern time USA. I see this happened before but I am not able to use this model now without inputing every command for the model by hand.
Plugins
No response
OpenCode version
1.17.11 on linux via warp
Steps to reproduce
Have deepseek do something that requires a tool. For example a curl command. Results like :
I saw something similar on DeepSeek V4 Flash, specifically provided by DeepSeek itself. I think the issue is that the model itself is returning bad DSML format, which does not get properly parsed on Deepseek's end into OpenAI compatible tool calls; so not Opencode's problem. Switching providers seems to have helped.

How can I fix this? Opencode with deepseek was working flawlessly for weeks and then yesterday this issue prevents its use totally.
I see other issues discussing the issue, but no solution. What am I missing. Thank you.
