[BUG] OpenCode Go subscription paid successfully but workspace shows "Insufficient balance" #37790

Closed as not planned

Description

@ahdkabeerhadi

Description

Describe the bug

I purchased an OpenCode Go subscription, and the payment was successfully processed through Stripe.

However, my workspace still reports:

Insufficient balance

Because of this,

I cannot use OpenCode Go even though the subscription has been paid.

This appears to be a subscription provisioning or billing synchronization issue rather than a payment failure.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Subscribe to OpenCode Go.
  2. Complete payment through Stripe.
  3. Open the OpenCode Desktop application.
  4. The application reports:
Insufficient balance

and refuses to use Go.

Expected behavior

The workspace should immediately recognize the active OpenCode Go subscription and allow usage.

Actual behavior

The workspace still behaves as if there is no active subscription.

Additional information

I have already contacted support at:

help@anoma.ly and contact@anoma.ly

and also attempted to reach the team on X but have not yet received a response.

Could someone please verify whether my workspace subscription failed to provision or whether the billing entitlement needs to be refreshed?

Thank you.

    Have you tried refreshing your models? potentially a reinstall of the application? top force a fresh pull of information. are you sure you have the correct API key or other subsequent authentication method set properly. Try to also authenticate opencode-zen and see if that forces a fix. I'm not a dev so I can't really help those are just the best tips I have for you off the top of my brain. Best of luck to you.

    Yes, I've tried

    @flavass

    I have a similar problem after yesterday's crash (when everyone had a server error).

  5. Drewlius commented on Jul 20, 2026

    @Drewlius

    I would just check and make sure you have the AOI key put in right and try to load with no plugins ie opencode --pure

    But how would you explain the screenshot above the second one? Anyway, I tried that too

  7. flavass commented on Jul 20, 2026

    @flavass

    I paid for a subscription, worked a day in Opencode, yesterday many (judging by the problem on GIT) had a problem with models from GO (server error), and today people's subscription was canceled. Are you sure that the problem is with my key?

    Я бы просто проверил и убедился, что у вас правильно введен ключ AOI, и попытался загрузить без плагинов, т.е. opencode - чистый

    I am experiencing the exact same issue here. +1

    I subscribed to OpenCode Go on July 18, 2026, and it was working perfectly at first. However, after just a couple of days, my dashboard suddenly showed that I have no active subscription and asked me to subscribe again.

    I have already sent an email to help@anoma.ly with my full invoice attached for verification.

    For the maintainers, here is my redacted billing info to cross-check with the support inbox:

    • Account Email: za***@***.in
    • Invoice Number: WXMM****-0001
    • Billing Period: July 18, 2026 - August 18, 2026

    Hope this gets resolved for all of us soon!

    @fwang Still affected.

    It's now been over 24 hours since I contacted support.

    Payment is successful and visible in Billing History, but my workspace still shows "Insufficient balance."

    Could someone from the team confirm whether this is a known outage or a provisioning bug? Even an acknowledgment would be appreciated.

    Mine worked immediately brother i just confirmed for myself on a new workspace. Sorry your having this issue I wish I could help you fix it. Have you tried checking on another device and clearing the browser cache and cookies?

    @fwang Hello,

    I purchased OpenCode Go on July 16, 2026.

    The payment was successfully processed and appears in my billing history, but my workspace has never been provisioned and continues to show "Insufficient balance."

    Over the past several weeks I have:

    • Contacted help@anoma.ly
    • Reached out on X
    • Commented on the existing GitHub issue
    • Waited for a response

    Unfortunately, I have not received any reply.

    I would still prefer to have my subscription activated.

    If that is not possible, please process a full refund within 7 days.

    Otherwise, I will need to pursue the matter through my payment provider.

    Thank you.

    Exactly the same here, as seen above.

    @divyeshio

    @jayair Are you going to do anything about this? So many legitimate users are burnt by this. Been paying for opencode for few months, yet after this month's payment, it did not activate. Support does not even exists.

  14. VictorPoloBengo commented on Aug 15, 2026

    @VictorPoloBengo

    I’m experiencing a very similar issue from Spain.

    • I paid USD 5 for OpenCode Go on June 30, 2026.
    • The payment appears in Billing History, but Go was never correctly activated for my workspace.
    • When I try to use Go, OpenCode shows: Insufficient balance. Manage your billing here…
    • On August 1 I attempted to renew/re-subscribe, but the payment failed with a message saying that the payment method could not be authenticated and that I should use another method.
    • I have already contacted support by email and have not received a response.

    I am using a Spanish/EU-issued card. This may involve the same entitlement/provisioning or billing-synchronization problem discussed here, with 3DS/SCA as a possible contributing factor, but the original payment itself succeeded.

    Could the team please verify the subscription entitlement and workspace association privately, and confirm whether it is safe to retry without risking a duplicate charge? I can provide the workspace/account and payment details privately.

    Hi! As of August 20, 2026. I had the same exact issue! I am still waiting for the confirmation email regarding this. My payment went through, but there's nothing on my Opencode Go dashboard.

    Hi, I too have the same exact issue, my payment went through, got a confirmation email back and the payment history in the console also reflects this, but I am getting 401 credits error insufficient balance

    The issue still persists, until it fixed, should provide a resolution in acceptable timeline. If it is not dependable, what the use?

    every time i've reached out to their support email for any issue I've had, A response has been delivered to me within 48 hours most of the time less. I would start there instead of the github issues. They get alot of these.

    I am experiencing a related OpenCode Go access problem. My Go service was paid, but after the recent opencode.ai web redesign my default2 workspace disappeared from the UI, so I can no longer access the paid service. Detailed report: #49938.

    Thanks for the report! OpenCode 2.0 is now out and development is focused on V2, so we're closing issues filed against OpenCode 1. Please upgrade (opencode upgrade --major, details: https://anoma.ly/notes/opencode-2-0), and if this is still relevant on 2.0, reopen this issue or open a new one with your 2.0 version.
