   This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

   • System them in macos with ghostty doesn't apply opacity #4027: System theme in macOS with ghostty doesn't apply opacity - This issue specifically mentions that "One regression I still see after system theme was shipped for the version 1.* is that it doesn't pick up the opacity" which is very similar to your report about losing support for transparent/no background with version 1.

   Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
