Home page session list has no delete/archive entry point (desktop) #40786
On the Desktop app (macOS, v1.18.14), the Home page session list has no way to delete or archive sessions — there is no three-dot menu, no right-click context menu, and no hover button. Right-clicking a session row does nothing.
Expected behavior
Users should be able to delete (or at least archive) sessions directly from the Home page session list, e.g.:
A hover-visible delete/archive button on each session row, and/or
A right-click context menu with "Archive" / "Delete session", and/or
A bulk "Select" mode to delete multiple sessions at once.
What I verified (from the app bundle, v1.18.14)
I extracted app.asar from the installed desktop build and inspected the Home session row component:
HomeSessionRow only binds click / auxclick (open session, open in background) — no onContextMenu handler, which is why right-click silently does nothing.
The only per-row action button (archive) is gated behind SHOW_HOME_SESSION_ARCHIVE = false — a hardcoded constant, so the archive button is never rendered in the current build.
The delete-session entry (DialogDeleteSession, "Delete session") only exists inside the session's own timeline header menu (the faint ⋯ ghost button in the top-right of an open conversation), which requires opening the session first.
Impact
With no management affordance on the Home list, sessions accumulate without any way to clean them up from the UI. The only workaround is manually deleting rows from the SQLite database (~/.local/share/opencode/opencode.db) after quitting the app.
Environment
OpenCode Desktop: 1.18.14 (macOS)
Session count in DB: 100+ (grows every day)
Related: #21619 (older request for RECENTS delete option, closed as not-planned; the Home list in the current V2 desktop UI still has no entry point).
Home page session list has no hover delete button, no ... menu, and right-click does nothing. The only way is to open the session first and use the top-right ... > Delete session.
With 20+ sessions (e.g. 5x pipeline:* runs a day) cleanup from UI is very painful. CLI opencode session delete <id> works as workaround, but no bulk select in UI.
In v2, right-click a session on the Home page and choose Delete to remove it without opening the conversation first. The same menu also offers Rename and Export. To get v2: npm i -g @opencode/cli@latest or curl -fsSL https://opencode.ai/v2/install | bash (desktop: update the app). If you still see this on v2, please open a new issue with the details.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:
Your issue also references #21619 which was closed as not-planned, but the above three are open and cover the same ground.
