Steps to reproduce

  1. Type in the text "asd asd asd"
  2. Go to after the first asd and type "qqq " so that the final text is "asd qqq asd asd"
  3. Press Alt+right

Expected: it should jump from "asd qqq<here> asd asd" to "asd qqq asd<here> asd"
Actual: it jumps to "asd qqq asd asd"`"

Reproducible on both iTerm2 and VSCode

The issue continues to persist in version 1.0.117. Might be because the original fix was reverted.
