Description

I've divided my agent into two roles: a PLANNER and an EXECUTOR. After completing the project PLAN, I switch to the EXECUTOR agent and input commands such as "Start task" or "Restart." However, execution often halts midway—the agent stops progressing and remains stuck, as shown in the screenshot. It doesn't continue further, and even after waiting for a long time, there's no response. This issue persists across multiple retries, and no error messages are displayed.

Ideally, if an error occurs, it should provide a clear error message or an explicit interruption notice; otherwise, it's impossible to know how to proceed. Looking forward to your reply.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Divide the agent into two roles:

    • PLANNER
    • EXECUTOR

  2. First, let the PLANNER complete the overall project PLAN.

  3. Switch to the EXECUTOR agent.

  4. Input a start command to the EXECUTOR, such as:

    • "Start task"
    • "Restart"

  5. The EXECUTOR begins executing the task but gets stuck or halts midway.

  6. The system becomes unresponsive for a long time and does not proceed to subsequent steps (as shown in the attached screenshot).

  7. The issue persists even after multiple retry attempts.

  8. No error messages or interruption notifications are displayed throughout the process.

  9. Desired improvement:

    • If an error occurs, a clear error message should be provided.
    • At minimum, an explicit interruption notice should be given so the user knows how to proceed.

    @hulonghe in the screenshot it looks like the model just stopped working? What happens if u try to send follow ups?

    I dont' think this is a bug we are showing the state the model is currently in, if it says it's done we show that state to you and u can tell it to continue right?
