bug: input field text is invisible when window is small #4332
changed the title [-]bug: input field text is invisible when windows is small[/-][+]bug: input field text is invisible when window is small[/+]on Nov 14, 2025
@rodion-m a few more clarification questions - by "embedded terminal," you mean running Rider and opening up a terminal window in Rider itself? Any custom settings you have set on MacOS that can help me debug? Did you see this on launch of OpenCode, or was it after adjusting the Rider app window size? I'm not able to repro in an embedded terminal window in Rider v2025.3.0.1, but it also doesn't look exactly like yours which makes me think I need different settings.
Also, unable to repro in terminals such as iTerm or embedded VS Code terminals.

rodion-m commentedon Nov 14, 2025
I found out the reason - it's thin console size.

@rekram1-node I'll knock this out next if it's cool

@rodion-m Just to make sure I have my ducks in a row, you mean "thin" = super wide and short height?
EIDT: Also, what terminal were you using in that screenshot? I can't replicate this in mine.
rekram1-node commentedon Nov 18, 2025
@nwthomas that'd be much appreciated
rodion-m commentedon Nov 18, 2025
Yes, I meant short height. It's a Rider embedded terminal. It was Classic or Modern terminal, I don't remember exactly.

Hi! 👋
Is this issue still being worked on?
If not, I’d be happy to take it and open a PR to fix the small-window input bug.
Thanks!
