TUI crash: props.input.content?.split is not a function (BMAD resume) #4484
Description
Description
Description:
OpenCode v1.0.78 crashes when I try to resume a BMAD project instead of starting a new one.
Steps
Windows 11
In my project folder, I run:
opencode bm "Resume the BMAD project"
The TUI opens for a second, then crashes.
Error shown
TypeError: props.input.content?.split is not a function
Expected
BMAD should continue the last session instead of crashing.
Notes
This only happens when resuming BMAD.
Starting a fresh BMAD session works.
Looks like the UI expects content to always be a string, but it is sometimes undefined.
✅ SIMPLE EXPLANATION: What is BMAD?
BMAD = AI project manager + workflow system.
It:
Plans your project (PLAN)
Writes your specification (SPEC)
Designs the files (DESIGN)
Creates step-by-step tasks (STORY)
Writes the actual code (DEV)
Think of BMAD as a smart assistant that tells the model what to do next.
You type one command, and BMAD controls the AI to build your project step-by-step.
✅ Can BMAD build hello.py or C++ hello.cpp?
✔ YES. BMAD can build simple programs like:
Python example (hello.py)
print("Hello, World!")
C++ example (hello.cpp)
#include
int main() {
std::cout << "Hello, World!";
}
BMAD will:
Plan the task
Design what file is needed
Write the code
Put it in the right folder
