[FEATURE]: Use OpenCode AI as a runtime and have an SDK? Like Claude Agents SDK? #6182

Closed as not planned

Describe the enhancement you want to request

Hi, this is an amazing project. The very first thing that came to my mind after seeing OpenCode is about Claude Agents. Claude Code started as a coding agent, but it turns out to be very general purpose.

And then they made claude code as runtime and introduced claude agents sdk which is more programable. So, I wonder, can we do the same thing on OpenCode?

Would be more awesome, if we somehow, use claude agents sdk but on OpenCode runtime.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

These issues cover similar aspects of making OpenCode more programmatic and extensible. You may want to consolidate the SDK/runtime discussion across these issues to avoid fragmentation.

Feel free to ignore if you're specifically looking at Claude Agents SDK integration as a unique angle not covered by these existing requests.

I'm thinking Anthropic will kill this.

IDK if its possible, but there is no way to use ACP the same way Zed does for instance? I use CC inside Zed trough the ACP using their own UI, nicer than CC but not as good as Opencode
