Just thought I'd add that I encountered this issue today. I'd installed OpenCode via Homebrew some time ago. Tried to upgrade via the opencode upgrade command and saw:
This is not the only false success message in opencode. I wonder if failure messages actually exist yet and success is just reported for just about everything.
Other examples:
export session: Type in a path for saving the session markdown file. If that path goes somewhere outside the current directory, nothing is saved, but success is shown.
connect provider: a dialog opens showing a link to click for oauth with the provider (like openai), and it says "c to copy". I press "c" and it says "copied successfully" but nothing has been copied to the clipboard. (Selecting the text to copy over normal key combos does not work either here, annoyingly).
Sorry for off-topic. Just thought to mention, maybe it's a good idea to open a general "false success messages" issue for that category of error, because I assume there will be more of the same.
