approx_percentile / percentile_approx on non-numeric input #7439
Description
What is the problem the feature request solves?
Native approx_percentile accepts byte, short, int, long, float and double input. Spark also accepts decimal, date, timestamp and interval input. For those types the aggregate falls back to Spark, along with the operators above it.
Describe the potential solution
Support decimal, date and timestamp input (and ANSI intervals once #5061 lands), returning the same type and the same percentile picks as Spark.
