\underline and \overline autocomplete do not insert editable templates #3109
When entering \underline or \overline in a MathLive mathfield, the autocomplete menu recognizes the commands, but accepting them with Space, Enter, or by selecting the suggestion does not insert an editable template. This differs from commands such as \sqrt, which insert an editable structure.
Observed behavior:
\underline appears in autocomplete but does not insert a template.
\underlinesegment, also offered in autocomplete, works correctly.
\overline exhibits similar behavior.
A complete expression such as \overline{1+4j} works.
The underline and overline structures can be inserted through the MathLive menu or virtual keyboard.
The behavior also occurs on the official MathLive demo page.
Expected behavior:
Accepting \underline or \overline should insert an editable template with the cursor positioned inside it, consistent with commands such as \sqrt.
Environment: Windows 11, Chrome 155.
Is this behavior intentional, or could these commands support automatic placeholder insertion?
