Currently there is no way to upload a package when we checked out it's local sources and have built it. In CI if we need the support of uploading is-devel-packages shouldn't be hard if built with remote-store we can assign it remote hashes and then it would upload them.
If this is about checking out PR against already built dependencies, I would do it differently - instead of locally checking out PR, I'd add another default file, say defaults-pr.sh that looks like:
Then, run build as usual and add "::pr" at the end of of defaults chain ("--defaults ::::pr"). That way only the PR package and what depends on it rebuild. defaults-pr.sh should be just a YAML header so that defaults-release is unchanged, and everything else is reused from the store (keep it free of env). Pin the commit, not the branch. Use the fork’s URL and the PR head’s full SHA. When the tag is a real commit, the hash leaves out the source URL. Funally, upload to the PR bucket as in #130.
I do not understand. Do you mean that instead of source: and git url you what to using sources: and tar file? Then you need to anyway put somewhere your tar file and you defined sources: and/or patches: in the same way.
