The footer segment AFT E? W? | ~D0 U0 C1 | T0 renders in prompt.footer.status on every prompt (AFT 0.62.0, OpenCode TUI). I never read it, and it takes a line of the prompt area in a narrow terminal.
I could not find a way to turn it off. setupV2Tui registers the slot unconditionally at src/tui/v2.tsx:377, formatAftStatusSegment always returns a non-empty string, and no config key covers it. inspect.categories only switches a category to ○, so the line stays either way.
Could this get a gate such as tui: { footer: false }, default on? If the sidebar should keep showing health while the footer drops it, that can be a second flag. One flag covers my case.
Thanks for the precise report, @jjjermiah. The switch is on main and ships in the next release.
It lives with AFT's other TUI settings in OpenCode's tui-preferences.jsonc rather than aft.jsonc, which holds engine settings. Add "footer": false to the aft entry:
{
"aft": { "footer": false }
}
It's on by default and takes effect without a restart. The sidebar is unaffected, so you can keep health there and drop the footer line.
