Description

I updated from 0.49.0 and getting error message Error: Magic Context could not safely prepare this turn; send your message again. stage=provider dispatch elapsed=211ms recovery=no managed result; refused (provider request does not match this pass's managed

    Thanks for the report, and for the doctor output.

    That refusal is Magic Context's check that the request Oh My Pi sends is the one it prepared. The message you pasted is cut off before the part that says what differed, and the log tail doesn't include it either. Could you send:

    1. The full refusal text from the error. It continues after "managed" with details such as row=… expectedRows=… actualRows=… comparison=….
    2. Whether it happens in a brand-new session, or only in this session. Is this the long Codex session from [omp] Error message in v0.49.2: Magic Context could not safely prepare this turn; send your message again. #692?
    3. Whether it happens on every turn, or only now and then.

    You're on Oh My Pi 18.11.1, which is newer than the versions we tested 0.49.4 against (18.10.4 and 18.11.0), so we're also checking 18.11.1 directly. Until we know more, you can keep using the session by setting the check to warn-only, as another reporter did in #686.

    Separately, the ENOSPC: no space left on device errors from earlier today mean the disk was full at the time. If it still is, that can cause other failures too.

    This shipped in 0.49.5, and 0.49.6 (the current release) includes it too. Two fixes for Oh My Pi:

    • When a session's history keeps a tool result whose call was removed (for example after a compaction summary), Oh My Pi sends it as a short stale-tool-result note instead of a tool result. Magic Context now expects exactly that, so those turns are no longer refused. It's checked on 18.10.4, 18.11.0 and 18.11.1 across the provider matrix.
    • Every dispatch refusal now writes one sanitized log line saying what differed (row, role and the comparison that failed), so doctor --issue reports show the cause.

    Please update with npx @cortexkit/magic-context@latest setup (or update the Pi package). If a turn is still refused, reopen this issue and paste that log line.
