Inventory the non-core machines (incl. the Dell boxes) and capture baseline data for the 8 HDDs still in the box: model, serial, SMART, firmware. NVMe baselines already exist on a backup drive - locate and link that data instead of re-collecting it.
Acceptance: records for every remaining machine; baseline records for all 8 boxed HDDs; the NVMe baseline archive located and referenced from the inventory.
Physical work notes
Location: basement / server room, Osseo WI.
Tools/parts: as listed in the task; note anything missing on this issue before starting.
Safety: machines unplugged before drive or cable work; circuits are electrician-only work (epic 3).
Verification: attach a photo of the finished state (and SMART/KVM output where relevant) to this issue before closing.
Expectation: escalated to Drew — this is on-site physical work only a person in the basement can do.
Triage verdict: The issue is labelled mode/physical and its own work notes place it in the basement/server room in Osseo, WI: inventory the non-core machines (incl. the Dell boxes), pull model/serial/SMART/firmware for 8 HDDs still in their box, and locate the NVMe baseline archive on a backup drive. None of that is reachable by a queue worker — the drives are boxed (not attached to any machine an agent can query), and the acceptance criteria require a photo of the finished state. There is no code defect to confirm or fix on main; the "route" is a person on site with the hardware.
Ask of Drew: either work this on site (the issue lists tools/safety notes), or tell the fleet if some subset (e.g. machines that are powered and on the tailnet) should be split out as a remote-gatherable follow-up — that subset I can route as a scoped packet. Blocking queue task 2364 as escalated-to-user and labelling this issue user/escalated so it stops recirculating through agent triage.
