PM stack: extend tests to the live readers, the comment consumer loop, and the deploy scripts #1213

Closed

Description

@dezren39

Part of epic #1184 (PM stack coherence review, 2026-10-26).

Test coverage is render-string deep, with no live-reader, deploy or consumer-loop tests. Evidence: aggregator/test/ (14 files) covers derive/render/fixtures, stub servers, boot-from-fixtures and comment-store units, but there are no tests for the live Kaneo/Grist readers, the comment consumption loop, bind/auth, or mobile layout, and no tests at all for pad/, grist/ seed/deploy scripts or ready-for-agent/install.sh.

Acceptance:

  • bun test covers live board/roadmap mapping including failure fallback, via stub servers mirroring the existing projector/opencode stubs.
  • seed.sh run twice in a test env is a no-op the second time; deploy/seed scripts have smoke checks.
  • CI (or a documented local gate) runs the aggregator + projector suites together; an end-to-end comment-loop test is added once the consumer exists.

    Intake review

    Fleet-monitor intake pass (protocol §5), 2026-10-28.

    Still live: verified this run — the issue is open, and a merged-PR search found no PR that explicitly resolves it (no fixes-reference; the only real merged hit in the search set, PR #1318, does not mention it). It does not merely look solved.

    Related: Related: epic #1184; extends the existing stub-server pattern used for projector/opencode.

    Notes / risks: Risk: the end-to-end comment-loop test depends on a consumer that does not exist yet — land the live-reader and script tests first; the loop test is explicitly conditional.

    Suggested approach: Suggested approach: live-reader stubs first, seed.sh idempotence second, combined CI gate third.

    Labels normalized this pass (see the issue's label set); acceptance criteria appended to the body as the standard ## Acceptance criteria section, original body preserved verbatim above it.
