amd host fails at evaluation: no outputHashes for p2panda-core-0.7.1 #158

Closed

Description

@dezren39

Symptom

At origin/main 36e65775, the amd host fails at evaluation, before any build runs:

nix eval '.#nixosConfigurations.amd.config.system.build.toplevel.drvPath'
error: No hash was found while vendoring the git dependency p2panda-core-0.7.1.

The nixos host evaluates and builds at the same commit.

Cause

pkgs/id/Cargo.toml depends on p2panda-core and p2panda-store as git dependencies, pinned at rev = "3e84cac48bba05c6857cce2ec433862b97f8d53c". nixpkgs' importCargoLock needs an outputHashes entry for each git dependency, and none is set. pkgs/id/default.nix (line 39) says to add the hash there. The failure appeared with the phase-1 merge (cfca028c). Before that merge, amd evaluated and built.

Proposed fix

Add the outputHashes entries for the p2panda git dependencies in the id package's Cargo vendoring (pkgs/id/default.nix), using the hash nixpkgs reports. Then rebuild amd.

Scope

This is id project code, so it is not fixed in the pins or host work. Pins and nixos are verified without it.

    Resolved in commits 67263fc and 46c0eed on main: added outputHashes for p2panda-core-0.7.1 in pkgs/id/flake.nix and pkgs/id/default.nix.
