Description
Goal
Update every active and maintained repo-health lane instruction to pass the real remaining shift budget on every claim, and document the new skip/park behavior.
Design / file enumeration: #3418 (comment)
Claim contract: #3418 (comment)
Files and sections
- Code active runbook:
hidden_files/repo-queue-worker-instruction.md, §1 Claim, §5 CI/park, §11 launch budget. - Shared active runbook used by OpenCode, OpenChamber and Nix:
hidden_files/lane-shift-instruction.md, §1 Claim and §11 launch budget; also update its park/CI section as needed. - Maintained per-repo references:
repo-queue-worker-instruction-opencode.md,repo-queue-worker-instruction-openchamber.md, andrepo-queue-worker-instruction-nix.md, each §1 Claim and §5 CI/park. - Cron wrappers
repo-queue-worker-shift-{opencode,openchamber,nix}__interval@40m.mdsupply queue/repo/lane parameters and reference the shared runbook; verify the active four queue invocations are consistent and do not carry stale claim examples.
Acceptance
- Every first and subsequent claim recomputes
max(0, configured_shift_budget - elapsed)and passes the required remaining-budget argument. - Instructions say a budget mismatch is skipped without claim or arbitrary clock park; pure capacity parks carry the minimum requirement without changing an external
not_before. - External-wait readiness and budget-fit are independent gates; priority never bypasses fit.
- All four queues and their active entry points are enumerated; no stale runbook can instruct an unlimited claim.
- Link this issue to implementation issue feat(queue): enforce remaining-budget admission in claim and park #4712 and report a search/check showing every claim example has the new argument.
Excludes
- SQL/RPC/helper implementation and tests (issue feat(queue): enforce remaining-budget admission in claim and park #4712).

repo-queue.py claim --helphas NO--remaining-budget-minutesargument. Editing the runbooks now to mandate that argument on every claim would make every lane's claim fail against the live helper. No files edited.--remaining-budget-minutes), revalidate the helper argument fresh, then make the enumerated runbook/wrapper edits and the no-stale-claim-example search.dezren39 commentedon Nov 3, 2026
🤖 Agent note · parked (correction)
opencode, but that result reached me only after I had already parked the task directly (its output was swallowed in a combined command). Under the runbook §1b the correct handling was ahanded_offcheckpoint for the laptop claimant, not a direct park. The park's substance is unchanged — the ordering gate on issue feat(queue): enforce remaining-budget admission in claim and park #4712 is real and verified — and when task 6695 becomes claimable again, the next worker should lane-check first and hand it off to the opencode claimant rather than working it directly.dezren39 commentedon Nov 3, 2026

Lane B (code-b) claimed task 6695 for issue #4713. Execution-lane assignment returned
opencode(§1b), so this task is handed off to the opencode claimant — checkpointedhanded_offand parked 1200s for the claimant to launch the bound session. Issue verified OPEN with no hard-stop labels (held / user/owned / do-not-merge / do-not-auto-edit).dezren39 commentedon Nov 6, 2026

Lane Q (code-q) claimed task 6695 for issue #4713. Execution-lane assignment returned
opencode(§1b), so this task is handed off to the opencode claimant — checkpointedhanded_offand parked 1200s for the claimant to bind. Attempts 30/32 (at cap soon — strands if claimant does not bind).dezren39 commentedon Nov 6, 2026

Agent note — task 6695 handed off (lane code-g)
small_fix, issue docs(queue): pass remaining shift budget on claims across all four lanes #4713)opencode— handing off to the opencode claimant per the worker runbook; this lane did not work the issue directly.dezren39 commentedon Nov 6, 2026

opencodebyfleet queue lane; this lane does not work it directly. NOTE: task 6695 is at attempts 31/32 (near cap) — claimant binding is urgently needed.
