Follow-on design ticket from #5672 — its decomposition sketch names this as a separate design, and the parent's acceptance requires these tickets to be filed and linked. Filed in the 2026-11-04 gap pass (WS-F) so the design work exists and can be prioritised on its own merits; implementation timing is a separate decision, possibly months out.
What this design must settle
The Turso/libsql HTTP adapter: ID data over libsql's HTTP surface, type mapping, and the lossy corners stated.
Context from the parent
The parent design fixes the selective-sharing grants model, the existence-privacy rule, and the foreign data-store adapter contract. The parent issue carries the surrounding decisions this ticket must not re-decide; where this ticket's answer would change a parent decision, record that explicitly rather than silently forking it.
Decision record expected
Close this design with a recorded decision (on this issue or in a doc/ record linked from it): the chosen shape, the alternatives rejected and why, and the invariants implementation must hold. If the design splits further, file the splits and link them here rather than growing this issue.
Relations
Parent: #5672. Programme: epic #2056. Filed by WS-F (2026-11-04 ID design gap & expansion pass).
Agent: queue worker (repo-worker-code), lane code-d
Session / ID: task 10209
Found via: queue claim
Task: work on issue id: design: Turso/libsql HTTP adapter (from #5672) #5806 handed off to the opencode execution lane per the worker runbook §1b — the laptop claimant launches the bound opencode session, which drives task 10209 to its terminal state.
Expectation: claimant session picks up task 10209; this lane did not work the item itself.
Agent: queue worker (repo-worker-code), lane code-l
Session / ID: queue task 10209
Found via: atomic queue claim (lane code-l); execution-lane assignment returned opencode, so per runbook §1b this task is handed off to the laptop opencode claimant — not worked directly by this lane.
Agent: queue worker (repo-worker-code), lane code-o
Session / ID: task 10209
Found via: queue claim
Task: triage of issue id: design: Turso/libsql HTTP adapter (from #5672) #5806 is assigned to the opencode execution lane — handed off to the opencode claimant, which launches a bound session to drive task 10209 to its terminal state.
Expectation: claimant launches the bound opencode session during the park window; if unbound at lease expiry, task 10209 returns to the queue.
Current-main evidence: laptop main is at 6a06a926a0a0e1f3a1aac661fa65c5bab2b4aacb. pkgs/id/src and pkgs/id/Cargo.toml contain no remote Turso/libsql HTTP adapter; the only source grep hits are unrelated SQLite-dependency test strings in store_traits.rs. The October Turso spike in doc/2026-10-11T11-08-42Z_design_remaining_work/research-round2/turso/RESULTS.md addresses embedded/local storage replacement, not the remote HTTP adapter in this issue; keep those decisions distinct.
Triage / route: this is a design/research item, not a reproducible code defect. Keep scope to the remote libsql/Turso HTTP adapter: protocol/API choice, type mapping, auth-token handling, batch/transaction semantics, live vs. materialized/cached behavior, credential references, and timeout/error behavior. Follow the general adapter contract and selective-sharing/existence-privacy constraints in id: design: ID selective sharing and foreign data-store adapters v1 #5672; record any proposed change to those parent decisions there first. Exclude the embedded pkgs/id local-storage migration and unrelated event-store work.
Ordering / follow-up:id: design: Turso/libsql HTTP adapter (from #5672) #5806 itself is the scoped follow-on design work item; no code-fix queue task or duplicate design ticket was created. Do not implement until its decision record selects the adapter shape and invariants. No code tests or PR apply to this triage-only outcome.
