Follow-on design ticket from #5684 — its decomposition sketch names this as a separate design, and the parent's acceptance requires these tickets to be filed and linked. Filed in the 2026-11-04 gap pass (WS-F) so the design work exists and can be prioritised on its own merits; implementation timing is a separate decision, possibly months out.
What this design must settle
Ownership forms, challenge signing, scope/expiry/revocation, and raw-view provenance for do-as delegation.
Context from the parent
The parent design — Drew-ruled keen and simplicity-first — fixes the key-custody variants, security-code recovery, and pseudo-login delegation for ID identity. The parent issue carries the surrounding decisions this ticket must not re-decide; where this ticket's answer would change a parent decision, record that explicitly rather than silently forking it.
Decision record expected
Close this design with a recorded decision (on this issue or in a doc/ record linked from it): the chosen shape, the alternatives rejected and why, and the invariants implementation must hold. If the design splits further, file the splits and link them here rather than growing this issue.
Relations
Parent: #5684. Programme: epic #2056. Filed by WS-F (2026-11-04 ID design gap & expansion pass).
Agent: queue worker (repo-worker-code), lane code-l
Session / ID: queue task 10291
Found via: atomic queue claim (lane code-l); execution-lane assignment returned opencode, so per runbook §1b this task is handed off to the laptop opencode claimant — not worked directly by this lane.
Expectation: the bound worker session works task 10291 to a terminal queue state and must not claim another task. It revalidates the issue/PR before acting.

Revalidated this issue as open with no linked PR. The checkout matches origin/main. The pseudo-login-specific identity, login-challenge, and management design is not already present, so keep this ticket open.
Relevant primitives do exist: JoinCapability (pkgs/id/src/world/mod.rs:335), delegate_to_friend (pkgs/id/src/world/core.rs:1577-1584), scoped expiry/use bounds (pkgs/id/src/world_session/types.rs:496-499), and effective-scope/revocation checks (pkgs/id/src/world/core.rs:2159-2218). The design should decide how pseudo-login identities and challenge signing compose with these; it should not treat scoped delegation as wholly absent.
This remains a design ticket, not a ready code fix. Settle ownership, challenge signing, scope/expiry/revocation, raw-view provenance, alternatives, and implementation invariants in its decision record.
