This patch in the issue #423 didn't work if the modules are build in a sub-folder
I added this lines to solve my problem inside the for loop just bellow:
if [[ -f "$build_dir/${built_module_location[$count]}/Module.symvers" ]] ; then
cp -f "$build_dir/${built_module_location[$count]}/Module.symvers" "$tmp_base_dir/module/Module.${built_module_name[$count]}.symvers"
fi
How do you use these Module.symvers files from the other modules?
Is your code publically available somewhere?
At some point I started #470 but got stuck and didn't find time to look into it again.
If ${built_module_location[$count]} is empty, i.e. all modules are built in the top level directory, this may produce duplicate copies of Module.symvers. Same might happen if multiple modules are built in the same subdirectory. But duplicates are probably harmless.
Also I'll use Module.${dest_module_name[$count]}.symvers as dest_module_name[*] is required to be unique.
