Freeze when tooltip goes to external monitor with different scale settings #1930

Describe the bug
There is an external monitor connected to laptop. Laptop Lenovo P1 Gen7 with screen resolution 2560 x1600 (125% DPI) and external monitor 1920 x 1200 (100% DPI).
When Eclipse RCP application is full screen on main monitor and there is a view with Tree SWT component on the right side of the monitor, and items in Tree component have very long text that as a tooltip goes to the external monitor, the whole Eclipse application freezes.
To Reproduce
Move mouse over items in Tree with long test that appears as tooltips that go to external monitor partly - get a freeze.
Only switching off external monitor option in Windows unfreezes application.
With external monitor the described behavior is 100% reproducable.

It looks like the problem described - is the same. Problem is with long text tooltips and freeze occurs only for those tooltips where major part of the text (tooltip's rectangle) goes to external screen.. Freeze does not occur for labels where smaller part of the text goes to external monitor.
I would mark this issue as duplicate of the referenced..

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, this issue happens with long tooltip texts. Note that it can also be produced in other software, even in Windows-integrated tools like the Windows explorer (#1262 (comment)).
Closing this as duplicate.
