[Linux] Copilot CLI crashes on editing big diffs

Describe the bug

In versions 1.0.43 through 1.0.46 (maybe also in earlier versions - didn't check), Copilot CLI crashes in src/runtime/diff/src/lib.rs:69:44 when trying to edit a large file with big diffs.
The file has 14950 lines with 8 pending hunks with 850 inserts and 3 delitions.
I can't say what was the additional edit which caused the crash,

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Don't crash - ever :-)

• OS: Ubunto 24.04
• Arch: x86_64
• Shell: bash under zellij

Tried to understand what exactly caused the crash. I committed the changes and tried again to continue the work in a new session and crashed again. Resumed the session and asked the agent what was the last command it attempted before the crash. It reported the command was apply_patch

I'm still seeing this issue, even after updating to 1.0.47.

This shouldn't have been closed. The issue that got fixed was only introduced in 1.0.46, but the issue claims the issue was in 1.0.43.

The fix that merged is in 1.0.48-0 and later.

Excellent. Actually, I will close the issue, as while the report says 1.0.43, it cites Copilot CLI crashes in src/runtime/diff/src/lib.rs:69:44, which was only introduced in 1.0.46 and was the issue fixed for 1.0.48-0 that you just confirmed. Thanks.
