Just a quick question for the sdk

I'm going to be working on a plug-in system cause of the sdk for copilot-cli. Now I know the license is MIT and we can add it to it but, I just want to respect you guys and the hard work. Would it be ok to add the sdk with the plug-in system so its an all in one system so we can have it be as the best compatibility as possible?

Thanks for the suggestion, @ssfdre38. I'm sure we'd be open to extending the CLI with additional features for plugins.

There are already various extensibility mechanisms (hooks, custom agents, skills), plus 3rd party mechanisms like Claude Code plugins where we'd need to consider how closely to align and whether or not direct compatibility is possible.

If you're interested in making a proposal on that, could you consider filing it in https://github.com/github/copilot-cli? Please bear in mind we're more likely to be able to act upon clear, succinct proposals that account for the relation with other extensibility systems. Thanks!

I already made a feature request as stated above, I saw that the CLI utilizes the SDK and I figured since the SDK is under MIT license it would be easier to do it that way without modifying the overall CLI. This was just me trying to do it the easiest way possible without any issues. I saw on npmjs.com that the CLI has an internal SDK included so it would have been the easiest route possible to add a feature without modifications of the CLI itself.
