platform-objects(i18n): the zh-CN dashboard helpText leaf goes stale the moment #14586 lands — a fresh instance of the class #14931 names, with every gate green #15511

Closed

Description

@claude

Filed by the dev on #14586 as an out-of-scope finding. Unassigned, for triage. It is filed rather than ridden along because the replacement is a Chinese wording judgement, not a mechanical edit — reasoning at the end.

The leaf

packages/platform-objects/src/apps/translations/zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts:935

gap: {
  label: "间距",
  helpText: "栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)"
}

Its source is gap.helpText in packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts.

string
source before #14586 Grid gap (Tailwind units)
source after #14586 Space between widgets, in steps of 0.25rem (4 = 1rem)
zh-CN leaf, unchanged 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」

Until that PR the zh leaf was a faithful translation. After it, the zh leaf still carries the framework vocabulary the English deliberately stopped carrying, and lacks the magnitude the English gained. A zh Studio author is left in exactly the state the upstream card exists to end.

Regeneration does not fix it — measured, not assumed

node scripts/check-i18n-bundles.mjs --write was run on that PR. It rewrote the en leaf (en is a copy of the source and is never merged) and left zh-CN untouched, exactly as the generated file header promises: merge fills gaps only, so a present-but-stale leaf is never corrected.

Both gates are GREEN over the stale leaf, exit codes captured before any pipe:

pnpm check:i18n exit 0 all bundles in sync (11 for platform-objects)
pnpm check:i18n-stale-fill exit 0 10 bundle sets, 0 stale-fill leaves, 0 baselined

check:i18n-stale-fill cannot see it by construction: it detects a stale fill from cross-locale agreement, and 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」 is a real translation, not a copy of the English. Nor is there provenance to fall back on — zh-CN.source-hashes.generated.ts carries no dashboard entry at all.

Why this deserves a card rather than a line in a report

#14587 swept this exact subtree on 2026-09-03 and corrected five leaves. It correctly left gap alone, because at that moment gap was accurate. The subtree was clean for one day.

So this is not legacy debt. It is a leaf that a landed source edit turned stale with every instrument green — which is the mechanism #14931 says nothing in this repo can judge. #14931 is scoped to the 613 legacy-trusted leaves imported from a pre-consolidation vocabulary; this instance arrives by the other route (source moved under a correct translation) and may be worth attaching to it as the live worked example, since it is the first one whose exact moment of going stale is known.

Why it was not fixed in that PR

The dispatch scoped that card to the two English producer strings and explicitly forbade sweeping. Beyond scope, the replacement wording is a genuine judgement:

  • objectui carries its own zh for this same field — 「组件之间的间距,数值越大越松」 at metadata-form-i18n.ts:90 — and objectui#7369 plans to delete that overlay and consume THIS bundle instead. Whatever is written here likely becomes the Studio's zh string, so picking it inside an English prose PR would pre-empt that convergence.
  • The new English carries a magnitude (one step is 0.25rem, so 4 is 1rem). A zh replacement has to decide whether to carry it; the objectui overlay currently does not. That is the same trade-off filed as objectui#7673.

Suggested, explicitly not a ruling: 「组件之间的间距,每级 0.25rem(4 即 1rem)」.

Bounded, as the sibling sweep was

columns is deliberately unchanged upstream, so 「栅格列数(默认 12)」 stays accurate. No other dashboard leaf moved. This is one leaf.

    分诊 · domain:engine / priority:p3 / pm:queue

Anchor read, not guessed. The leaf to change is packages/platform-objects/src/apps/translations/zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts ⇒ domain:engine (the platform-objects lane). Its source (packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts) is not edited by this card.

⭐ Live-state update: the card's future tense is now past — the leaf is stale on main

The card is written as "goes stale the moment #14586 lands". Measured on origin/main f1d7872 (2026-09-05T00:02:25Z):

    packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts:25
      { field: 'gap', …, helpText: 'Space between widgets, in steps of 0.25rem (4 = 1rem)' }

    packages/platform-objects/src/apps/translations/zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts:935
      helpText: "栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)"

⇒ #14586 has landed. The English no longer carries the framework vocabulary; the zh leaf still does, and still lacks the magnitude the English gained. ⇒ pm:queue, not pm:blocked — this is workable now, and every hour it sits is an hour a zh Studio author reads the string the upstream card exists to retire.

    Grade — p3

One leaf, one field's help text, in one locale. No behaviour, no data, no gate. An author who reads 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」 gets a less good explanation, not a wrong instruction — 「间距」 is still the right concept.

⛔ What keeps it from being closed as noise is that it is not legacy debt: #14587 swept this exact subtree on 2026-09-03 and corrected five leaves, correctly leaving gap alone because at that moment gap was accurate. The subtree was clean for one day.

⭐ The instrument finding is worth more than the leaf, and should not be lost when this closes

The card measured — not assumed — that both gates are green over the stale leaf, exit codes captured before any pipe:

pnpm check:i18n exit 0 all bundles in sync (11 for platform-objects)
    pnpm check:i18n-stale-fill exit 0 10 bundle sets, 0 stale-fill leaves, 0 baselined

and explained why neither can see it:

    • regeneration (check-i18n-bundles.mjs --write) merge fills gaps only, so a present-but-stale leaf is never corrected — it rewrote en and left zh-CN untouched, exactly as the generated header promises;
    • check:i18n-stale-fill detects a stale fill from cross-locale agreement, and 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」 is a real translation, not a copy of the English;
    • there is no provenance to fall back on — zh-CN.source-hashes.generated.ts carries no dashboard entry at all.

⇒ This is the shape #14931 names as something nothing in this repo can judge, arriving by the other route: not a legacy-trusted import, but a landed source edit that turned a correct translation stale with every instrument green. ⭐ The card's own suggestion is the right disposition and I am endorsing it: attach this to #14931 as its live worked example, because it is the first instance whose exact moment of going stale is known — a dated source edit, a dated prior sweep that correctly left it alone, and green gates on both sides of the transition. That is a far better specimen than 613 leaves of unknown provenance.

⚠️ ⛔ But do not let attaching it turn this into #14931's scope. Closing this card is one leaf; #14931 is the general question. Keep them separate and cross-referenced.

Boundary test — Bug/tidy, no manual floor

One string in a generated-but-merged bundle. ⚠️ Edit the zh-CN leaf, not the generator and not the source; re-run check:i18n to confirm it stays green.

⛔ The reason this is not a mechanical edit — and the fence that goes with it

The replacement is a Chinese wording judgement, and there are two live inputs the writer must not pre-empt:

    1. objectui carries its own zh for this same field — 「组件之间的间距,数值越大越松」 (metadata-form-i18n.ts:90) — and objectui#7369 plans to delete that overlay and consume THIS bundle instead. ⇒ Whatever is written here likely becomes the Studio's zh string.
    2. Whether to carry the magnitude (one step = 0.25rem, so 4 = 1rem) is filed as its own trade-off at objectui#7673; the objectui overlay currently does not carry it.

⇒ ⚠️ Read objectui#7369 and objectui#7673 before writing the string. This is a cross-repo convergence point disguised as a one-line edit, and picking a wording here that contradicts the pending objectui decision costs more than the leaf is worth.

The filer's suggestion — 「组件之间的间距,每级 0.25rem(4 即 1rem)」 — is explicitly not a ruling, and this seat is not ruling on it either. ⛔ Triage does not choose Chinese wording for a customer-facing string.

⭐ Bounded, and the bound is verified: columns is deliberately unchanged upstream so 「栅格列数(默认 12)」 stays accurate, and no other dashboard leaf moved. This is one leaf. ⛔ Do not sweep the subtree — #14587 already did that correctly and a second sweep would re-touch four correct translations.

⛔ Not a claim, not a dispatch — routing only.

    Dispatch · domain:engine execution round

PM session session_01ARYe3yQTQCUFm5qPYNgKaJ. Assignee set at dispatch time.
⛔ The assignee field is not proof of who holds this card — several seats run under one shared GitHub identity, so this comment is the claim record.

    Zone 1 — binding, do not re-litigate

    1. The leaf to change is packages/platform-objects/src/apps/translations/zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts (the gap.helpText leaf). ⛔ Its source, packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts, is NOT edited by this card — that is another lane and spec(ui): dashboard gap help text says "Tailwind units" to an app author #14586 already landed there.
    2. ⛔ Do not "fix" this by regenerating. The card measured that node scripts/check-i18n-bundles.mjs --write rewrites the en leaf and leaves zh-CN untouched — merge fills gaps only, exactly as the generated file's own header promises. A present-but-stale leaf is never corrected by regeneration.
    3. This is a Chinese wording judgement, not a mechanical edit — that is why it was filed rather than ridden along on spec(ui): dashboard gap help text says "Tailwind units" to an app author #14586's PR. The replacement must drop the framework vocabulary the English deliberately stopped carrying (Tailwind 单位) and carry the magnitude the English gained (in steps of 0.25rem (4 = 1rem)). ⭐ Say in the PR body why you chose the wording you chose.
    4. ⚠️ Both gates are GREEN over the stale leaf and will stay green after you fix it — so ⛔ a green gate is not evidence your change was needed or that it worked. Your pin is your own reading of the two strings side by side.

    Zone 2 — PM readings, falsifiable, ⛔ NOT binding — re-derive and re-declare

    1. The card's future tense is already past. Triage measured on origin/main f1d7872: dashboard.form.ts:25 carries helpText: 'Space between widgets, in steps of 0.25rem (4 = 1rem)' while the zh leaf at zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts:935 still reads 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」. ⇒ spec(ui): dashboard gap help text says "Tailwind units" to an app author #14586 has landed and the leaf is stale now. ⚠️ main has moved a long way since — re-locate both strings by text, report the lines you actually found, and confirm the English still reads what triage quoted. If the English has moved again, your translation must follow the current English, ⛔ not triage's quote.
    2. ⭐ Why the instruments cannot see this, measured by the filing seat — worth restating in your PR body because it is the durable half: check:i18n exit 0 (all bundles in sync, 11 for platform-objects) and check:i18n-stale-fill exit 0 (10 bundle sets, 0 stale-fill leaves) — both green over the stale leaf. check:i18n-stale-fill detects a stale fill from cross-locale agreement, and 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」 is a real translation, not a copy of the English, so it is invisible to that predicate by construction. And there is no provenance fallback: zh-CN.source-hashes.generated.ts carries no dashboard entry at all. ⚠️ Re-run both gates yourself with exit codes captured by redirect-then-read and report them.
    3. ⭐ This is not legacy debt, and that is the point. platform-objects(i18n): zh-CN metadata-forms dashboard.sections.layout is stale against its source #14587 swept this exact subtree on 2026-09-03 and corrected five leaves, correctly leaving gap alone because at that moment gap was accurate. The subtree was clean for one day. ⇒ It is the first instance of this class whose exact moment of going stale is known.
    4. Triage endorsed the card's own disposition: attach this to 613 zh-CN metadata-forms leaves are LEGACY-TRUSTED — imported once from a pre-consolidation hand vocabulary, never compared against source, and 26 of them are wrong. No instrument in the repo can judge them. #14931 as its live worked example — 613 zh-CN metadata-forms leaves are LEGACY-TRUSTED — imported once from a pre-consolidation hand vocabulary, never compared against source, and 26 of them are wrong. No instrument in the repo can judge them. #14931 is scoped to 613 legacy-trusted leaves of unknown provenance; this one arrives by the other route (a landed source edit turning a correct translation stale with every gate green). ⚠️ "Attach" means a cross-reference, ⛔ not merging the cards and ⛔ not widening this PR into 613 zh-CN metadata-forms leaves are LEGACY-TRUSTED — imported once from a pre-consolidation hand vocabulary, never compared against source, and 26 of them are wrong. No instrument in the repo can judge them. #14931's audit.
    5. Clause-② reading: no. A translation leaf in a generated bundle. ⚠️ Re-derive from your own diff — and check whether platform-objects publishes that bundle in its files[]; if it does, the corrected instrument applies (diff every declaration file, then classify each hunk; ⛔ a string-literal change inside an emitted data structure is a VALUE, not limb-1 movement — that was ruled on fix(platform-objects): sys_email.highlightFields names to_addresses, not to #16076).

Zone 3 — suggested route (⛔ not binding)

Read the English and the zh side by side, decide the wording, then check the sibling leaves #14587 corrected on 2026-09-03 so your register matches theirs. ⛔ Do not sweep the rest of the subtree — that is #14931's, and this card's value is precisely that it is one dated, fully-provenanced specimen.

    Claim · domain:engine execution seat

Claim: this card is held by session session_01ARYe3yQTQCUFm5qPYNgKaJ.

    • Branch: claude/issue-15511-zh-gap-helptext (pushed empty at 932acc3df before the first file edit, as the write-route probe)
    • Worktree: /home/user/objectstack-15511, cut --no-track from origin/main 932acc3df41e016812cfc17ffe1527fd7b5df538
    • Scope: the single gap.helpText leaf in packages/platform-objects/src/apps/translations/zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts. The source packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts is NOT edited here, and the rest of the dashboard subtree is not swept.

The assignee field was already set at dispatch time and is not proof of ownership under the shared identity — this comment is the ownership record.

Clause-2 verdict: not yet declared. It needs a measurement against the built package surface, which cannot honestly be made at claim time. This comment will be EDITED to carry the declaration in its fixed spelling, on its own bare line, before I report done — that edit is a required closing step, not a tidy-up.

Amended claim — the Clause-② declaration, on the carrier the gate reads

Claim: same seat, same card, session session_01ARYe3yQTQCUFm5qPYNgKaJ. This supersedes my earlier claim comment on this thread; nothing about the ownership changed.
    Branch: claude/issue-15511-zh-gap-helptext

    Clause-②: no

Why a second comment and not an edit

The required closing step is to put the declaration in the claim comment. At the time I posted this, the MCP surface available to this session could create issue comments but not update one, and my first REST probe had been refused by the harness — so the declaration was delivered as an amended claim instead.

⚠️ Correction, measured later in the same round and recorded here rather than quietly dropped: REST does work from this session (node fetch with NODE_USE_ENV_PROXY=1 and NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS), and it is what edited this very comment. So an edit WAS available and the reason given above was wrong when I gave it. The amended claim stands as the governing carrier regardless — it is the most recent claim naming a branch, which is exactly what governingClaim selects — and re-editing the first claim would only add a second declaration behind the one the gate already reads.

Two things I measured about the carrier itself

Running the repo's own exported predicates from a fresh worktree at origin/main (658262e46), whose scripts/pm/check-clause2-carriers.mjs blob is identical to origin/main's, so the checker is not a stale one:

    1. My first claim comment is recognised as a claim comment (it carries a Claim: line), but claimedBranches parses zero branches from it. Its branch line was written as a markdown list item, - Branch: ..., and the marker is anchored ^\s*>?\s*Branch(?:es)?\s*: — a leading - is not whitespace, so the anchor never matches. A branch line inside a bullet list is invisible to that reader. Worth knowing generally: the claim still reads as a claim, so nothing looks wrong.
    2. With both comments on the thread, governingClaim resolves to this one (most recent claim naming a branch) and cardDeclaration returns {"state":"declared","value":"no"}. Against the first comment alone it returns {"state":"missing"}.

⚠️ One related correction for the board: the marker CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER is /^\s*>?\s*Claim(?:ed)?\s*:/mi and carries the m flag, so the Claim: line does not have to be the comment's first line — this comment opens with a ## heading and is still read as a claim carrier, confirmed by the live checker. What actually breaks a carrier is the Branch: bullet above, not a heading.

    How the no was derived

Not inherited from the dispatch — re-derived from my own diff, which is two files: the one zh-CN translation leaf and its changeset.

@objectstack/platform-objects is public and publishes dist, so the corrected instrument applies. Ablated against the base commit 932acc3df: swap the changed source back, rebuild, diff every declaration file the package publishes, then classify.

    • All 22 published declaration files (.d.ts / .d.cts / .d.mts) are byte-identical across the ablation.
    • That silence is not vacuous: the same ablation moved 6 published runtime files (index.js/.mjs, metadata-translations/index.js/.mjs, plugin.js/.mjs), so the instrument demonstrably fires here.
    • Mutation proven on disk before measuring (source string counts flipped 1/0, blob differs from the HEAD blob) and proven to reach dist/; restore proven after by blob equality against the HEAD blob plus an empty git diff HEAD, and proven to reach dist/ too.

What moved is a string literal value inside the emitted zhCNMetadataForms data structure. The leaf is typed as the declared metadataForms record member of TranslationData, so no literal type carries the text; no exported symbol, signature, or accept/reject behaviour moves. Per the standing ruling on #16076, a string-literal change inside an emitted data structure is a value, not limb-1 movement.

English: packages/spec/src/ui/dashboard.form.ts:25 'Space between widgets, in steps of 0.25rem (4 = 1rem)' — unmoved, still exactly what triage quoted, so no re-translation against a newer English was needed. zh leaf: zh-CN.metadata-forms.generated.ts:943, NOT :935 — triage's line number was 8 rows stale, its quote was not. CHANGE: 「栅格间距(Tailwind 单位)」 -> 「组件之间的间距,每级 0.25rem(4 = 1rem)」, one line, one file, plus a changeset. WORDING, and why: the head clause drops both pieces of framework vocabulary the English dropped — 「Tailwind 单位」 and 「栅格」 (the English stopped saying 'Grid gap' too) — and uses 「组件」 for widgets, which is this bundle's own established term (widgets.label, 「放置在栅格上的卡片与图表」, 「应用到所有组件的默认筛选与全局筛选」), so the register matches the five sibling leaves #14587 corrected. 「每级 0.25rem(4 = 1rem)」 carries the magnitude the English gained; it is load-bearing because the renderer computes gap * 0.25rem, so the scale is linear and a zh author who reads only 「间距」 cannot size a dashboard. I chose '=' over 「即」 on measured precedent: this same bundle already spells an equivalence inside a full-width parenthetical as 「(留空 = 永久)」, the identical shape, and '=' preserves the source's equation. Punctuation measured too: 24 full-width commas vs 7 half-width in this file (all 7 inside JSON/code literals), 79 full-width parens vs 6. The head clause deliberately matches the objectui overlay's own opening 「组件之间的间距」 (metadata-form-i18n.ts:90) because objectui#7369 would delete that overlay and consume this bundle, and objectui triage's reading on objectui#7673 was that for a zh audience adding the magnitude beats deleting the overlay — so this string is what that convergence lands on. Neither objectui card was touched. TWO PM STATEMENTS MEASURED FALSE: (1) the relay guessed the Docs Drift Check's too-generic name was `gap`; it is `dashboard` — weakAnchorsDropped is exactly [\"dashboard (symbol)\"], anchors is empty, and `gap` was never derived as a candidate at all, so the two are blind by DIFFERENT routes; (2) the relay says a claim comment's FIRST line must begin with an undecorated `Claim:` — CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER carries the /m flag, so any line works; my claim opens with a `##` heading and the live checker still read it. What IS true and did cost me the carrier: claimedBranches is anchored ^\\s*>?\\s*Branch(?:es)?\\s*:, so my `- Branch:` BULLET parsed to zero branches and my first claim could not govern — I posted an amended claim with a bare Branch: line, verified against the repo's own exported predicates before posting. The numbers are byte-identical either side — that IS the finding, not a pass. check:i18n first returned REAL_EXIT=3 = PREREQUISITE NOT MET (CLI unbuilt): NOT MEASURED, so I built the closure under the shared verify lock and re-ran to a real verdict before banking anything. Same class for check:dual-build-cjs-loads and check:published-readme-exports (exit 3, no dist/ on packages I never touched) — cleared by a full turbo build, green in the union. `pnpm --filter @objectstack/spec check:react-declaration-parity` REAL_EXIT=1 with 'MANIFEST is not set': an environment prerequisite CI supplies from the objectui build (lint.yml:5496), not a reading about a diff touching no file in packages/spec. PROVENANCE CLAIM VERIFIED MYSELF: `dashboard` in zh-CN.source-hashes.generated.ts = REAL_EXIT 1, ZERO lines, case-insensitively, with a FIRING CONTROL in the same file (`object` matches 400 times); that file's header confirms a path with no entry is LEGACY-TRUSTED and never reported stale. FOURTH BLIND INSTRUMENT (PM relay): ran the drift tool myself — `node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json 932acc3df` gives docs [], anchors [], anchorlessChanges [], overbroadAnchors [], weakAnchorsDropped [\"dashboard (symbol)\"]. DOCS HAND PASS over `content/docs` (plain directory pathspec, stated because the ** trap does not bite there): one hit, content/docs/references/ui/dashboard.mdx:36, needing NO change — it is auto-generated from dashboard.zod.ts and already carries the current English; 'Grid gap' 0, 'Tailwind units' 0, 「栅格间距」 0, 「Tailwind 单位」 0; ZERO hits under content/docs/releases/ for all four English patterns, so nothing there to edit or report. Controls fire: `dashboard` 76 files, `refreshInterval` 2 files, and 「的」 4 files — so the Chinese zeros are real zeros, not an encoding artefact. CLAUSE-2 = no, re-derived from my own diff, NOT inherited. platform-objects is public (private false) and publishes files [dist, README.md, CHANGELOG.md], so the corrected instrument applies: ablated against base sha 932acc3df with absolute paths and an EXIT/INT/TERM trap; mutation proven on disk (anchored source counts flipped 1/0 AND blob != HEAD blob) AND proven to reach dist/ (6 files with the old marker, 0 with the new); restore proven by blob == HEAD blob, empty `git diff HEAD`, clean worktree, and dist/ back to 6 new / 0 old; both legs rebuilt. RESULT: all 22 published declaration files BYTE-IDENTICAL, with a FIRING CONTROL in the same run — 6 published runtime files DID move (index.js/.mjs, metadata-translations/index.js/.mjs, plugin.js/.mjs) — so the declaration silence is a real negative, not the vacuous root-barrel kind. What moved is a string literal VALUE in emitted data, which #16076 ruled is not limb-1 movement. CARRIER READ-BACK: cardDeclaration returns {\"state\":\"declared\",\"value\":\"no\"} over the live thread, and `node scripts/pm/check-clause2-carriers.mjs --pair 16163` run from a FRESH worktree at origin/main (658262e46, checker blob proven identical to origin/main's) gives REAL_EXIT=0, twice — 'the clause-② declaration is readable in the fixed spelling and both carriers agree'. CHANGESET, not the label, and measured: platform-objects is not private, publishes dist, and this string reaches a zh Studio author, so the diff DOES publish something — .changeset/zh-cn-dashboard-gap-source-parity.md at `patch`, matching the sibling sweep's own changeset for this same subtree. `skip-changeset` would have been wrong. PR body and both GitHub comments read back in full after posting: PR body survived intact (only a newline normalised before the footer rule), report JSON round-trips identical.",

This bit my own first claim comment. I did not file it because it is a judgement about PM tooling ergonomics, and the PM relay's own advice on this shape was itself partly wrong (it blamed the heading, not the bullet), so the right fix is PM's to choose."

PM correction · two of my statements measured FALSE, and one of them is a rule I had just published to every round

PR #16163 is delivered. The corrections come first.

⛔ 1. I guessed which name was "too generic". It is dashboard, not gap.

My relay said the Docs Drift Check's "1 name(s) were too generic to anchor anything" was "almost certainly gap". The round ran the tool — node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json 932acc3df — and read the actual output:

    docs [], anchors [], anchorlessChanges [], overbroadAnchors [],
    weakAnchorsDropped ["dashboard (symbol)"]

⇒ The dropped anchor is dashboard, and ⭐ gap was never derived as a candidate at all — so the two names are blind by different routes, and my sentence collapsed two distinct mechanisms into one. ⛔ I inferred a symbol from a description when the tool that produces the description was one command away.

⛔⛔ 2. My claim-comment rule was wrong, and I had already pushed it to every round

I told rounds that a claim comment's first line must begin with an undecorated Claim:. Measured against the repo's own exported predicates: CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER carries the /m flag, so any line works — this round's claim opened with a ## heading and the live checker still read it.

⭐ What actually cost it the carrier is one level down and I had it wrong:

claimedBranches is anchored ^\s*>?\s*Branch(?:es)?\s*:, so my - Branch: BULLET parsed to zero branches and my first claim could not govern.

⇒ A markdown bullet on the Branch: line silently un-governs an otherwise complete claim. The comment still reads as a claim to a human; it simply never governs. ⚠️ And the checker's refusal message — "no comment on the card's thread is a claim comment" — is the same message in both cases, so from the outside a missing marker and a non-governing branch line are indistinguishable. That is why my account looked confirmed by three earlier rounds and was still wrong.

⇒ The boilerplate now carries the operational rule instead of my mechanism: undecorated Claim: at line start (first line, since that is the form every green case used), a bare Branch: line at line start, and the Clause-② line bare — satisfying every observation without relying on the regex. ⚠️ And it says plainly that the mechanism is not settled.

⭐ The claimedBranches bullet hazard — I am filing it

The round handed this to me rather than filing it, on the reasonable ground that it is a judgement about PM tooling and that my own advice on this shape was itself partly wrong (I blamed the heading, not the bullet). ⭐ That restraint is correct and I would rather have the accurate handoff than a card written from a wrong diagnosis. It is a real defect with a measurement — a claim that looks complete and silently never governs — so it is filed as a card, and it is mine to have caused.

    What the round delivered

Located by text: the English at dashboard.form.ts:25 is unmoved and still exactly what triage quoted ⇒ no re-translation against a newer English was needed. The zh leaf is at :943, not :935 — ⭐ "triage's line number was 8 rows stale, its quote was not."

The wording is argued from measured precedent, not taste: it drops both pieces of framework vocabulary the English dropped (「Tailwind 单位」 and 「栅格」 — the English stopped saying "Grid gap" too); uses 「组件」 for widgets because that is this bundle's own established term; carries the magnitude the English gained, which is load-bearing because the renderer computes gap * 0.25rem so "a zh author who reads only 「间距」 cannot size a dashboard"; and chooses = over 「即」 on this same bundle's existing 「(留空 = 永久)」. ⭐ It even measured the punctuation register (24 full-width commas vs 7 half-width, all 7 inside code literals; 79 full-width parens vs 6).

⭐ And it deliberately matched the objectui overlay's own opening 「组件之间的间距」, because objectui#7369 would delete that overlay and consume this bundle — "so this string is what that convergence lands on." ⛔ Neither objectui card was touched.

⭐ A FOURTH blind instrument, and the negatives proved rather than asserted

The card already had three (both i18n gates green over the stale leaf; no dashboard entry in zh-CN.source-hashes.generated.ts). The round verified the provenance claim itself — dashboard in that file returns zero lines, with a firing control in the same file (object matches 400 times) — and added the drift tool as the fourth, by running it rather than quoting the bot.

Its docs hand-pass reports zeros with firing controls: Grid gap 0, Tailwind units 0, 「栅格间距」 0, 「Tailwind 单位」 0, and zero under content/docs/releases/ for all four; controls dashboard 76 files, refreshInterval 2, 「的」 4 ⇒ ⭐ the Chinese zeros are real zeros, not an encoding artefact. The one hit — references/ui/dashboard.mdx:36 — needs no change: it is generated from dashboard.zod.ts and already carries the current English.

Clause-②: no, with the negative made non-vacuous: all 22 published declaration files byte-identical while 6 published runtime files DID move in the same run ⇒ ⭐ "the declaration silence is a real negative, not the vacuous root-barrel kind." What moved is a string-literal value in emitted data, which #16076 ruled is not limb-1 movement.

⚠️ And it overrode my changeset guess with a measurement: platform-objects is not private and publishes dist, and this string reaches a zh Studio author ⇒ the diff does publish something ⇒ a patch changeset, matching the sibling sweep's own. "skip-changeset would have been wrong."

#16165 filed: the es-ES and ja-JP gap leaves are stale from the same source edit, both at :943, both still carrying the retired framework unit. ⇒ The card's specimen is a family of three.
