What
The Connect an Agent page (Account → Developer → Connect an Agent, and Setup → Connect an Agent; the mcp:connect-agent widget in @object-ui/app-shell) has no connect instructions for the Chinese desktop work assistants that teams here use: WorkBuddy (Tencent), Doubao Work (豆包工作) and QwenWork (千问办公). A user of those clients has to work out the menu path and the client's own spelling of the Streamable HTTP transport by hand.
Evidence: a product gap the maintainer requested directly. Today the page offers cards for claude.ai / Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code / Copilot and Codex CLI only, so no card names where WorkBuddy, Doubao Work or QwenWork take a custom MCP server or how each spells the transport.
Scope (as agreed with the maintainer)
- Add cards for WorkBuddy (the
mcpServersentry withtype: "streamableHttp", and the Trust step), Doubao Work (the name / transport / URL its custom-connector form asks for) and QwenWork (themcpServersJSON withtype: "streamable-http"). Each names theAuthorization: Bearer <API key>fallback for a client version without the browser sign-in. - Order: international clients first, then the Chinese ones. One list, no group headings.
- Merge the claude.ai / Claude Desktop and Claude Code cards into one full-width Claude card.
- Turn the Codex CLI card into a Codex card for the Codex app's MCP form (Settings → MCP servers → Add server), and list it ahead of Cursor.
- Drop the VS Code / Copilot card.
- Title the Doubao Work and QwenWork cards from the locale pack, so zh shows 豆包工作 and 千问办公.
- Reveal a minted key in the
Authorization: Bearerform as well asx-api-key; wrap long one-line snippets instead of clipping them. - All strings in the ten built-in packs; update
content/docs/ai/connect-mcp.mdx.
Not in scope
- Nothing on the server: the MCP endpoint, OAuth and API-key handling are unchanged (
Authorization: Bearer <key>is already accepted). - DuMate was considered and dropped by the maintainer.
Open question for verification
The menu paths and transport spellings come from the vendors' docs and third-party guides read through search; they were not checked against a live install of each client.
