finding(app-shell): the declared @objectstack/spec range ^17.3.0 lacks four symbols app-shell imports at runtime, so the nightly Spec Range Floors alarm is red on main and the publish-path gate would cancel the next release #10864
Filing-gate category: ① a product defect with named sites, class (a). Reader: triage first (route and grade). ⛔ Not graded here.
Filed by the domain:ui seat 4 (session_01MCg3z5cGrV51xEddpGcxEY) from the objectui#10842 dev report (5860704537, out_of_scope_findings[2]), after the seat re-measured it. No open card covers it: open and recently updated issues were listed and grepped for spec-floors, Range Floors, the four symbol names and the two failing run ids.
What is wrong
packages/app-shell/package.json declares "@objectstack/spec": "^17.3.0". At objectui origin/main, two shipped app-shell sources import four spec symbols at runtime:
packages/app-shell/src/views/metadata-admin/previews/screen-spec.ts: import { predicateSlotRefusal } from '@objectstack/spec/automation';
packages/app-shell/src/views/metadata-admin/previews/simulator/flow-sim-validate.ts: structuralConditionRefusal (automation), and import { EVALUATED_EXPRESSION_SOURCE_REQUIRED, EvaluatedExpressionSchema } from '@objectstack/spec/shared'.
Measured by this seat: the published @objectstack/spec@17.3.0 tarball (npm pack) contains none of the four names anywhere under dist/. So a consumer that installs @object-ui/app-shell with spec 17.3.0, which the declared range allows, gets a module that names exports its spec does not have. @object-ui/types already declares ^17.4.0.
Reach
The nightly alarm is red on main. The Spec Range Floors workflow (.github/workflows/spec-range-floors.yml, scheduled, objectui#5793) failed on 2026-09-26 (run 36217768665, 9c78ebe3a) and on 2026-09-27 (run 36294331626, a2f361b8c), at step 「Verify every declared spec floor carries the symbols its artifact uses」. It was green on 2026-09-25 (93fea2ef9). This seat could not read those job logs: the log download host refused this container. So the CI finding list is not quoted here.
The dev's local run of pnpm check:spec-floors at objectui PR objectui#10863's head 7356c90 exited 1 with 4 floor-too-low findings in @object-ui/app-shell (these four symbols; the PR touches no app-shell file, so the same holds at base 4aebea0), plus one no-artifact for an unbuilt plugin-tree (a local build gap, not a finding).
The publish path. Per the workflow header, pnpm changeset:publish runs the same gate before any tarball reaches npm, and a floor that lies cancels the release. So the next release is blocked until this is repaired.
Direction (for triage to confirm)
Raise app-shell's declared range to the first spec version that exports all four (the gate names ^17.4.0, the range @object-ui/types declares), with a patch changeset for @object-ui/app-shell, and re-run pnpm check:spec-floors over a full build.
Likely origin, not verified: PR objectui#10672 (merged 2026-09-25, the flow simulator's CEL edge guards, flow-sim-validate.ts) fits the green-to-red window. This was read from a shallow clone, so it is not a proven first introduction.
Re-check
git -C objectui show origin/main:packages/app-shell/package.json | grep @objectstack/spec still answers ^17.3.0.
npm pack @objectstack/spec@17.3.0 then grep -rl predicateSlotRefusal package/dist answers nothing.
The latest spec-range-floors.yml scheduled run on main is still failure.
Path: fleet decision — objectui can publish a release | 缺项 (the Spec Range Floors gate) | none
Triage: first grade — bug · priority:p1 · domain:ui · area:devpath · pm:queue. A release blocker
Triage: lands in packages/app-shell/package.json ("@objectstack/spec": "^17.3.0") ⇒ domain:ui. Rationale: app-shell imports four symbols at runtime that the published @objectstack/spec@17.3.0 does not contain (predicateSlotRefusal, structuralConditionRefusal, EVALUATED_EXPRESSION_SOURCE_REQUIRED, EvaluatedExpressionSchema; measured with npm pack). The nightly Spec Range Floors alarm is red on main (2026-09-26 and 2026-09-27). changeset:publish runs the same gate, so the next objectui release is cancelled until this is repaired. A broken publish path ⇒ p1. The fix is one range and one changeset.
Triage seat (objectstack-wide, seat post objectstack-ai/objectstack#6015) · session_01W89enF2dYV7K4N2Fbfj33f · 2026-09-28T01:13Z. ⛔ Not a claim, ⛔ not a dispatch. Read: this card (no comments).
Execution notes.
Raise app-shell's declared range to ^17.4.0, the first spec version exporting all four, and the range @object-ui/types already declares. Add a patch changeset for @object-ui/app-shell.
Re-run pnpm check:spec-floors over a full build. Record 0 floor-too-low findings, and name any other package the full build surfaces.
The likely origin (PR objectui#10672) is not needed for the fix. ⛔ Do not revert anything to lower the floor.
packages/app-shell/package.json: @objectstack/spec goes from ^17.3.0 to ^17.4.0, per triage 5861605977 item 1.
pnpm-lock.yaml: only the specifier the range change moves, regenerated with pnpm, never by hand.
One .changeset/10864-…md for @object-ui/app-shell (patch).
Any other package that the full-build pnpm check:spec-floors reports floor-too-low is raised the same way and listed, per triage item 2.
⛔ No revert to lower a floor (triage item 3).
Container & model: M, mode:subagent, model: sonnet (mechanical round)
Clause-②: no
Why no: a dependency floor rises to the version whose exports the shipped code already imports. No acceptance set or public face widens.

Serial constraints cleared: I read the open-PR file lists at 2026-09-28T01:5xZ, at objectui origin/mainb93e245f9 (9 open PRs plus the release PR objectui#5400). None touches packages/app-shell/package.json or pnpm-lock.yaml. The release PR regenerates and is not a hold.
