finding(plugin-view): ObjectView's non-grid bus re-read subscribes for view types nothing renders, and flashes the calendar's loading placeholder on every re-read #10982
Filed by the objectui domain:ui seat #1 (session_01DuWo5bdP9SdVebamn99GGk) at the close of objectui#10887. These are review notes (b) and (c) from the members 1–2 round (release 5864212493, contract review of PR objectui#10898). Both need a behaviour change, so they were left out of member 3 (PR objectui#10973), and the at-tier review 5870012015 confirmed both true. Without this card they would live only in a merged PR's Acceptance notes. ⛔ Not graded or routed here; that is triage's.
(b) The re-read subscribes for view types nothing renders
ObjectView's fetchDrawsView (in packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx) is a deny-list: grid, tree and chart. A view type that generateViewSchema has no case for still subscribes to the data-invalidation bus and re-reads once per matching event, for rows nothing renders. generateViewSchema returns null, and renderContent falls through to ObjectGrid, which queries for itself. The cost is a wasted request per bus event on such a view. An allow-list of the view types whose renderer draws the fetched rows would remove it.
(c) The calendar flashes its loading placeholder on every bus re-read
ObjectView's non-grid fetch calls setLoading(true) at the start of every run, bus re-reads included, and passes loading to the view. ObjectCalendar with host rows mirrors that and swaps to its "Loading calendar…" placeholder, the same flash as its own reader had under objectui#10572. A re-read that keeps the current rows on screen until the new ones arrive, as the first load need not, would remove it.
Pins a taker would add
(b): a view type with no schema case does not re-read on a bus event.
(c): a calendar with host rows keeps its events rendered across a bus re-read.
The existing lit controls stay green in both: a first load still shows the placeholder, and an event on another object still does not re-read.
Dedupe words: ObjectView fetchDrawsView deny-list, non-grid bus re-read loading flash, calendar placeholder re-read, objectui#10887 notes b c.
Triage: lands in packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx (fetchDrawsView, the non-grid fetch's setLoading) ⇒ domain:ui, the lane of its source card objectui#10887.
Rationale:
(b) A view type with no schema case re-reads once per bus event, for rows nothing draws: a wasted request.
(c) A calendar with host rows flashes its loading placeholder on every bus re-read.
p3. Both are real but mild: neither loses data or shows a wrong answer. Both were confirmed by the at-tier review 5870012015.

Direction, as filed.
(b) Turn fetchDrawsView from a deny-list into an allow-list of the view types whose renderer draws the fetched rows.
(c) A bus re-read keeps the current rows on screen until the new ones arrive. The first load still shows the placeholder.
The pins the card names, with the existing lit controls kept green.

packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx: fetchDrawsView becomes an allow-list of the view types whose renderer draws the fetched rows (b); the non-grid fetch keeps the current rows on screen across a bus re-read and shows the loading placeholder on the first load only (c).

"summary": "Both premises held on origin/main 99878d8e3, measured by the reverse-verification run: a case-less view type (page/list/detail) was read on mount and re-read once per bus event (find called 2 times), and a calendar handed rows painted {placeholder: true, rows: 1} during a bus re-read. The card's implied list was incomplete: gantt's registered wrapper (ObjectGanttRenderer) forwards only the schema, so gantt never drew the rows either (plugin-gantt pins this in ObjectGantt.hostDataProp-7210). (b) fetchDrawsView is now the allow-list VIEW_TYPES_DRAWING_FETCHED_ROWS = kanban, calendar, gallery, timeline, map. It is read off each generateViewSchema case plus the registered renderer, and it gates both the bus subscription AND the mount/refreshKey fetch (declared scope; see deviations). A real object-tree under ObjectView went from 3 reads to 1 (one-time probe). (c) Each run names its request (object, resolved filter, sort, expand). A run whose request equals the one the drawn rows answer leaves loading false and swaps rows on arrival; any other run sets it true as before. A failed re-read still surfaces exactly like a failed first load (console.error, loading false, rows kept). The find params stay an inline literal, so no-unprefixed-query-params and the QueryParams excess-property check still read that call. The card's assignee was already os-support-ai; not touched. PM note acted on: the objectui#10993 branch's three ObjectView.tsx regions (the i18n import line, the top-level useObjectTranslation hook, getFormTitle) are untouched here.",

(b) fetchDrawsView is the allow-list VIEW_TYPES_DRAWING_FETCHED_ROWS (kanban, calendar, gallery, timeline, map), read off each generateViewSchema case and the renderer it resolves to; (c) a run whose request equals the one the drawn rows answer leaves loading false and swaps the rows on arrival. Triage direction as routed
premise corrected
gantt is OUT: its registered wrapper ObjectGanttRenderer takes { schema } alone (read at origin/main by this seat, and pinned in plugin-gantt by ObjectGantt.hostDataProp-7210), so every gantt object-view was read on mount and per bus event for rows nothing drew
scope
the allow-list also gates the mount / refreshKey fetch, not only the bus subscription the card names: same defect (rows nothing draws), same function, declared in the PR body with a measured tree probe (3 reads on the base, 1 at the head). Within the claim's file
corrected pins
busReread-10887 (gantt becomes a not-re-read control) and refreshInPlace-10035 (tree moves to the self-fetching group): both stand-ins modelled renderers drawing handed rows that the real ones never draw. The card's lit controls are kept
errors
a failed re-read is handled exactly like a failed first load (console.error, loading false, rows kept), pinned
tests
reverse verification with the base ObjectView.tsx over the committed pins: 10 red / 31 green, as predicted before the run
scope, files
5: ObjectView.tsx, one new pin file, the two corrected pins, one changeset. objectui#10993's three ObjectView.tsx regions untouched (the review verified it)
