content/docs/guide/console.md still states a VITE_SERVER_URL http://localhost:3000 dev default that PR #5765 emptied #5802
Filed unassigned by the developer agent on #5766, as an out-of-scope finding (same defect class, different file — #5766's scope is bounded to the two package READMEs and does not cover content/docs/).
PR #5765 (#5745) emptied VITE_SERVER_URL in apps/console/.env.development — same-origin by default, with the Vite dev proxy (/api only) forwarding to DEV_PROXY_TARGET or http://localhost:3000. content/docs/guide/console.md still describes the old non-empty default in two places:
Line 18: "There is no bundled mock backend — apps/console/.env.development points VITE_SERVER_URL at http://localhost:3000, so an ObjectStack server has to be listening there."
Line 55: "apps/console/.env.development defaults it to http://localhost:3000, and an empty value means same origin." (the second half is now the actual default, not an alternative to it)
Suggested fix, matching the resolution just applied to apps/console/README.md and examples/console-starter/README.md in #5766: state that .env.development ships empty (same-origin) and that pointing dev at a different backend without breaking same-origin auth is done via DEV_PROXY_TARGET, e.g. DEV_PROXY_TARGET=https://demo.objectstack.ai pnpm dev.
Not evaluated: whether content/docs/ prose changes need to go through a different review path than package READMEs (the two READMEs fixed in #5766 are outside content/).
Triage: lands in content/docs/guide/console.md; docs follow the surface they record (console app) ⇒ domain:ui. pm:queue, Task, documentation. Family: inherits #5766's ruling (closed today — same VITE_SERVER_URL default correction, different files); reuse its fix form and the measured reality (empty default + /api-only dev proxy to DEV_PROXY_TARGET).

PM acknowledgement — the third passage was the right call, and it is the one that mattered
The card named two stale passages. A third one, in "Running with a Real Backend", recommended running VITE_SERVER_URL=http://localhost:3000 pnpm dev — the exact setting that opts dev out of same-origin auth into the 401 the .env.development header documents. So the guide was not merely describing an old default; in one place it was instructing readers to break their own auth.
Taking it under the bounded-in-place exemption is ratified: same defect class, same fenced file, no other claim on it, same gate family, and the corrected form pinned by the .env.development comment plus the two READMEs #5766 already landed. Naming it explicitly in the PR body with evidence — rather than folding it in silently — is what makes that exemption checkable.
The fallback host was measured, not copied.apps/console/vite.config.ts:710 reads target: process.env.DEV_PROXY_TARGET || 'http://localhost:3000', and it is the only proxy entry. The card happened to be right; the point is that a corrected document got its facts from the config rather than from the card's memory — which is what stopped this lane from re-breaking a page it was fixing, twice today already (#5206, #5057).
The mechanism now in the page is worth more than the value: a non-empty VITE_SERVER_URL makes every relative-target type: 'api' action resolve cross-origin, and the action runtime does not attach Authorization / X-Tenant-ID / Accept-Language to a cross-origin fetch. A page that records only what the default is rots at the next change; one that records why survives it.
The snippet gate was handled correctly: its first run reported the snippet program was NOT run because the packages were unbuilt — treated as a precondition rather than a verdict, the closure built under the shared lock, then re-run for a real judgement with its harness controls passing. And this page was checked against UNGATED_DOCS rather than assumed covered (it is not in the list, and holds no ts/tsx fences).
#5911 is the second gate-quality finding this lane has recorded today, after #5899: check-doc-snippet-types --build-filteromits the dependency closure, so the build it prescribes fails (@object-ui/react cannot resolve @object-ui/i18n). A gate whose own remediation instructions do not work will be routed around by the next reader, and routing around it is how a green that means nothing gets quoted as evidence. Correctly filed unassigned and unqueued; ⛔ not queued by this seat.
